A quiet place to stay, yet within easy bus service of the city centre. The rooms are individual with antique furniture. Guests share the spacious lounge where there are hot drinks 24/7 and a shared microwave. The lounge leads to the verandah and quiet garden; there are plenty of shops and places to eat nearby. Above all, there is a...

A great little B&B for a few nights stay. The owner is friendly and helpful, very chatty. The single rooms are very small and the bathrooms smaller but adequate. It was clean and quiet and close to where I needed to be for work. Close to shops and restaurants and not far from the city.

We cannot praise this place enough! We had such an amazing time at this lovely Bed and Breakfast. The charming house is cozy, cute, and welcoming. The room we stayed in was lovely ( # 2 ) and it was very comfortable. What really makes this place stand out are the people including the innkeeper, her daughter, and co- worker....

Having just arrived in Auckland we were greeted by quite an unfriendly lady, who after we had introduced ourselves went to check our booking leaving us on the doorstep. She came back saying this is your room which was the first one on the ground floor and told us where the tea and coffee was and went about her work....

Wonderful homely feel to this place, made to feel welcome from the outset. Fairly quiet neighbourhood. Free parking in front of building. Very clean room and comfortable bed. Stayed for a couple of nights as a first stop in a two week stay in NZ.

We stayed here for one night in Auckland and enjoyed ourselves overall. It has a quirkiness that is charming and the location outside the city center is a nice change of pace -- though it is close enough to downtown that you can get in and out easily and quickly. The rooms are comfortable enough and the entire facility is...

We were made very welcome by Eileen, she's a charming lady who lights up breakfast time. Our room was a little small but peeping inside other rooms they seemed much more spacious. Beds were very comfortable and the Bavaria is spotlessly clean. The communal facilities are good at the Bavaria...as much tea and coffee as you like and use of...

My husband and I stayed for one night at Bavaria and we had a great time! The room was clean, comfortable, and within reasonable walking distance to City Centre in Auckland. Eileen, the proprietor, was great -- she makes a delicious hot breakfast, and regales you in three languages while doing so. She also explained numerous places for us to...

I was in the middle of a hectic trip and appreciated the charming wooden house very much. The hosts were both helpful and discreet. The b&b had the feel of a lived-in, but quiet household. Not in the city centre but closely located to buses and several restaurants.
