You couldn't get a more central hotel than Mercure being at the bottom of Queen Street, it's also one of the most economical places to stay in Auckland. Parts of the hotel are quite attractive, but the room we stayed in had uneven floors which must have happened during a renovation or building project that was not quite finished off...

We stayed in one of the Junior suites for a weekend away. We have stayed here quite a few times before. The hotel is very handy and poitioned well just at the top of Queen street. On checking in this time, the Receptionist was very 'sour faced'. She was so consumed with getting the job done and there was no...

Dear Neildsousa, Thank you for your post, and kind words regarding the restaurant and food. It is disappointing to hear that your experience at the Mercure hotel regarding a couple of staff interactions was not to standard. I will address the staff issues you have raised with the teams to ensure these basics are not missed in the future. Kind...

The recent room refurbishments have taken this hotel to a five star level - from the wonderful New Zealand designer shower head through to the cut water glasses, it's the subtle touches which make it special. The rooms are small but the bathroom is cleverly designed to get it a sense of space. The best rooftop bar and restaurant from...

Great stay. Close to the shops, train station and the ferry as well. We had a nice room with a bit of ocean view. Restaurants are not far away and very central to all the action. Went to NZ during the Cricket World Cup this year so it was a busy time.

Right by Britomart Station, a stones throw from the Ferry Building and about a ten minute walk from Vector Arena. You could do worse in downtown Auckland. Good views of the city and harbour from the 13th floor bar and restaurant.

Mercure Auckland is right in the city handy to shops, harbour etc. Parking is very expensive at $40 per night and while staff were very nice, the room was a bit of a disappointment. It was small, so much so that we pushed the small bed away from the wall to get some walking room. Bathroom was ordinary as well....

Stayed a night on the 10th floor. Really good location, valet parking is a great extra. Room was nice and quiet considering being right on Queen Street. Ample space, clean and tidy. Staff on reception were friendly and efficient. Will definitely stay here again.
