Well positioned for driving north. Mollies is a superb small hotel with high quality suites. Very helpful staff and superb breakfasts. Shame it has been sold and apparently closing in April. Friendly and comfortable

We stayed twice and both rooms were outstanding. The rooms were extremely well furnished with every detail attended to, and the hosts and staff were very attentive, friendly and charming. The hotel is very well located for the restaurants and shops to Ponsonby, and it is a very pleasant walk of 45 minutes into Auckland Waterfront through parks. We could...

Had an excellent time at Mollie's, mostly due to the personal attention of Bernadette and Steven, the owners. We only had breakfast on our meal plan, but it was fabulous, especially the poached egg and avocado. The room was upstairs, had a loft and balconies outside the main and loft floors. Air conditioning, important in NZ's summer months, was more...

My husband found this little gem of a hotel on Tripadvisor and we really appreciate all the previous reviews. This stunning colonial hotel is just beautiful, art and antiques every where. Champagne on arrival. The staff were very attentive without being to pushy. Room was immaculate with everything you could need. Breakfast top notch. Would have loved to stay longer...

We had one of the two-story rooms with a view to the bay. It was a fabulous place to stay. The breakfasts were excellent as was the service. We would stay there again without question The staff made us feel so at home and welcome. They set up dinners and other excursions as we needed.....the staff was extraordinarily friendly and...

A lovely property, beautifully decorated and furnished with lots of thought. Comfortable, clean and very quiet. In-room drinks from fridge all included in price. Fresh orange juice with breakfast would have been ice. It's a little out of the centre of town (10 min taxi) and the wifi was slow but otherwise all very good.

We came to NZ to visit a sick friend. Deciding to spend two days in Auckland before we drove to the countryside, we chose to stay at Mollies. This delightful small hotel began its life as the home of the first mayor of Auckland in 1870 with its grand airy common rooms and charming suites, we were greeted by the...

What a lovely hotel situated in a very pleasant neighbourhood and 5-10 minutes taxi ride ($15) from Auckland City centre. The suite was spacious and comfortable with amazing views of both the bridge and the tower (suite 10). All the staff were amazing - friendly, welcoming and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. They recommended things to see, restaurants...

We stayed here for our wedding - I stayed the night then got ready here with my mother and bridesmaid (plus hairdresser, makeup artist, photographer etc), and we stayed the next night as a couple following the wedding. Mollies was great at assisting with arrangements and happy to cater lunch, show people up to the room and deal with dresses,...

We stayed at Mollies on our return trip back thru Auckland and found it to be one of the best hotels in NZ. On our first 3 nights before venturing to the South Island we had stayed at the Sofitel which is fine but lacks the charm of Mollies. The room we we're given was HUGE and had a wonderful...
