Stayed on the couch the first night because all of Auckland was booked. It cost 30 dollars to sleep on a broken couch in reception with the lights remaining on. We had to accept as we had no choice. The staff are reasonably friendly but the manager is awful. Unfriendly, rude and moody he doesn't care about anything but getting...

Worst hostel I've ever stayed in! It's dirty, and needs updating. Sofas in common areas all ripped/broke, kitchen is fly infested with cooker hobs rusty and general untidy, rooms are basic dirty floors, uncomfortable beds you get clean sheets if lucky!, bathrooms needs updating, really wouldn't recommend staying there.

I came in with low expectations, understanding that I wasn't going to receive a prime hostel for the prices shown. But this hostel was absolutely attrocious. An awful smell plagues the whole place, and there are no windows for ventilation. The entire facility is gross, and unclean. The building is worn down - I stayed in a single room, which...

Stayed here for 1 night and it was awful. The rooms are smelly and dirty. Beds are the worst - might as well sleep at the floor. Kitchen was the most disgusting place. The floor was wet and dirty. Also the kitchen is located in the basement, which just makes it more creepy. Do yourself a favor and do not...

It is the worst hostel I have stayed, on my whole 8 month trip. Security is very poor, its really dirty and the facilities are in terrible condition. If you stay you will most likely have a terrible experience.

I have always been ok with staying in hostels and understand with cheaper prices you shouldn't expect a 5 star hotel. In the many hostels I've stayed at this was the first time I was so shocked and disgusted I highly considered losing the $ paid and finding another. It was absolutely terrible. To start with staff was very rude...

The rooms were so smelly and it was very very badly cleaned the common areas are very uncomfortable and it was very crowded all the time... To be fair the criquet World Cup was going on... The wifi wasn't free and they didn't have air conditioning... Bad experience

This place is an absolute dirt hole, within minutes of checking in I went to find alternative accommodation for the following night. The reception staff were not friendly, the bed price was more than the price i had reserved the room for, the dorm room was small, smelly, dirty, had exposed pipes hanging out, grime on the walls and there...

I've stayed in all sorts of places in my life, nice hotels, guest houses and hostels etc. I really don't mind going bare bones with my accomodation and in the past I've really enjoyed sharing a dorm even with up to 20 people, travellers are generally nice and it's a good way to meet new people from around the world....
