We have stayed in many great B&B's in NZ over the past 4 years, however Donald and Cath definetly win 1st prize. Great accommmodation, fab breakfasts and interesting fellow guests as well as the perfect hosts. We stayed 9 nights in all and were very sorry to be leaving. Would definetly return!

We spent two nights there on our honeymoon trip and the owners are very nice and welcoming. The house is lovely, up to a hill, quite close to the center of the town but located in a quiet place. They have a lovely Dog named Ben. Breakfast are very good and the care to every detail is at the top....

Just returned from a fantastic weekend in Auckland and certainly recommend Sutherland House. As many of the reviews say the welcome was amazing. My boyfriend and I felt instantly at home. The green suite was beautiful such attention to detail. The breakfasts were fantastic and beautiful homemade muffins each morning were a highlight for me. Donald gave us great advice...

WOW! Upon arrival Donald made us feel very welcome and gave us a tour of the stunning property. We spent the afternoon relaxing in our room after enjoying a jacuzzi bath. The compllimentary home made cakes/biscuits went down a treat. The bed was to die for...very comfortable with crisp sheets! We didn't want to leave the room for dinner. At...

We stayed only one night at this lovely B&B, but enjoyed every moment. Donald was a superb host, very helpful -- we so enjoyed speaking with him. The interior is spotless and beautiful. The owners obviously put a lot of investment and care into it. The breakfast was excellent and included a wonderful array of fresh fruit, which we loved....

We stayed at this beautiful B&B for two nights in the Pink Room. This was just fabulous with a great view across to the city, spotlessly clean and immaculately furnished. The room has a claw foot bath in one corner and a separate ensuite bathroom. One small point to be aware of if you are tall is that it might...

We stayed here for one night on our arrival in NZ and then 2 nights just before our departure. Donald could not have been more accommodating and we were made most welcome. The house is stunning and Ponsonby is a lovely area of Auckland and just a short hop to the centre with an excellent frequent bus service. We stayed...

This place is simply awesome. Lovely rooms (we were in the largest - neat little balcony, clawfoot bath in the corner of the bedroom, walk in wardrobe / dressing areas, nice bathroom, king bed and great sunrise views - as well as views over the city), simply awesome hosts, wonderful wonderful breakfast, and lots of little extras like port, choccies...
