A clean, basic motel in an area with few options. What could be a stunning view is blocked by overgrown bush in need of a cut. Lighting in the unit was very dim. There is no WIFI in individual units - just paid access in the lounge area. Some maintenance would make a difference - in the unit we were...

We stayed here 48 years ago on our honeymoon & this motel is an iconic memory of 1960 NZ! Though it is basic with no cooking facilities, it is adequate & has a good restaurant & small store. Wifi available only in communal lounge, no Sky TV & in need of overall upgrade but there is no other accomodation in...

The room we had, there was no cuterly, kitchen in the end of the block had aplinces but still no cuterly, so we still don't know what you use, perhaps fingers! ! What we paid was far too much, next time we will go to a holiday park, as they rate 10 out of 10.

We arrived and checked with no problems, the motel was very quiet so dropped off our luggage and continued around the coast to the east cape light house. We arrived back at the motel and had a pleasant meal on the restaurant. (Pricey for what you get) and promptly went to bed only to find our mattress was empty on...

This has been a marvellous place to stay in the East Cape area but I doubt the owner has ever been there. The facilities are old and in need of serious renovations. Having said that, most of the basics are covered. The room we were in had a reasonably comfortable bed, the shower room was adequate, there was the customary...

There are few options available when traveling around the East Cape and this motel has many rooms and is a truck stop and resting place for tour groups, as well as for fisherman and outdoors people enjoying the beauty of this less developed area of New Zealand. The room we had was clean, but basic and a bit warn, with...

If ya want to stay on top of East Cape this is your only choice. My wife hit it on the head when she described it as a pretty old so-so place. Not the worst but defiantly needs a few hugs. We'll just say one night was enough. Wonderful view in a great location. The staff I encountered seemed as...

We stayed one night in two bedroomed unit. Toilet was dirty, rooms very dated, exterior doors don't close unless they are slammed, blinds didn't work properly. Could hear the guests next door. Expensive. No hairdryer. Meals in restaurant expensive.

Very dated room with very thin walls so you can hear the adjoining room conversations etc clearly. View from motel great but not worth the over priced tariff. Restaurant food not flash, very generous serves but very dated 80's menu.

We stayed in one of the motel units - they're dated and need some maintenance - but they're clean and tidy - and quiet. The unit had two bedrooms for the four of us and a small living area/kitchen. We had our own food so didn't check out what was on offer at the dining area. There was a small...
