At first glance the rooms were okay. But soon we saw the kitchen was tired and grimy. The bedding was stained. Gross. The curtains need a wash and some de-moulding. This business doesn't deserve to use Hamilton Gardens in it's title and is a discredit to the Gardens and the city. We do not recommend this hotel.

An older style motel. Quiet location. Cheap rates. Nice feel. Nothing modern. Adequate. Extremely helpful owner, who was happy to offer books and additional milk, and much information on Hamilton City attractions.

Hamilton Garden's Motel is a bit like stepping back to the 70's - but so what! I happen to like old hotels and motels and enjoy the retro feel of years gone by. This motel isn't the flashest in town, but I can't fault it for friendly service and cleanliness. The bed in my unit was the most comfortable bed...

Upon arrival we were spoken to rudely, told that if we had been 5 minutes later we would have been locked out (9:25pm after driving in the dark and rain forn 4 hours). The rooms were appaling, the place hasn't been touched since the 70s by the looks. The room we had booked was not given to us, there was...

My friend and I stayed there for the Spring Rose Convention. Although it is an older style motel, we found it very clean, comfortable beds, with the linen changed daily, what more could you want than a comfortable bed, clean linen daily and a nice hot shower. It also obviously being updated. It was handy to our venue. I would...

A work colleague and I stayed here during the annual Mystery Creek Field Days (120,000 people visit the city at this time). Only accommodation we could get near the city at this time due to a late decision to go. The motel booklet states how the current managers have not had their lease renewed so no more upgrades would be...

This was a good location for me as I was travelling back towards Auckland airport from the Mount Manganui peninsula and needed an overnight stop. The motel is situated on the edge of town, less than 5 mins from the main highway, so you can avoid all the town centre traffic. Also, it is only 5 mins from the Hamilton...
