Marlin House was a nice and cosy place to stay in Paihia away from busy Auckland. The location is walking distance from the wharf.and the small Paihia town. It also had vehicle parking facilities. The owner was very helpful, giving us tips about Paihia Town and the activities. He also served us a nice continental breakfast at a time suitable...

Lovely spot, gorgeous views. Helpful staff. It was gat to have so many people able to stay but the double bedroom was a bit stuck in the middle, where other people had to walk through the room to get to their room. Apart from that, a lovely weekend was had by all.

A stunning view, a beautiful room, lovely hosts, convenient location. Just wonderful. Would highly recommend this place as a wonderful place to stay. The Spa Bath was beautiful, and nothing was too much trouble. The hosts were helpful without being overbearing. Just about perfect for a couple's retreat.

Ray our host was exceptionally helpful. We appreciated his local knowledge and his efforts to make us comfortable. The room was large and comfortable with a little kitchenette. The bathroom was a little small but adequate. The fan in the bathroom was very very noisy. We had a bit of trouble opening and locking the sliding door at first but...

Very secluded old style B&B. Large rooms, lovely breakfasts and very friendly (and knowledgeable) hosts made this stay everything you would expect. A few mins walk from the main street meant it was a lot more peaceful than some spots in the centre.

My wife and I were delighted with our two-night stay recently at The Marlin House -- conveniently located in an attractive, hillside villa just a stone's throw from the waterfront. The facilities were impeccable, but most of all we enjoyed the hospitality and informative conversation with owners Ray and Helen. Highly recommended!

The proprietors, Ray and Helen, could not have been more friendly or helpful during our stay, advising us on local sights and restaurants and giving us an insight into New Zealand. Breakfasts included locally sourced pastries, cheeses, and fruits and were delicious. Our suite was spacious and lacked for nothing. We especially enjoyed our evening glass of wine on the...

“I had a Kingfish Suite, for two People, two-Night Stay. It was a basic room with a huge bed, lounge area, tv, ensuite and dining table with sink and microwave. I was shown a bigger room with more options which could cater for a bigger group of people, like family of friends. That room included a Spa.”
