We were lucky enough to have 4 nights at Marlin House B & B. It made for a perfect stay in Paihia. Hosts Ray and Helen were incredible hosts, making awesome coffee/continental breakfast ( hot option for a small $) and giving us great restaurant tips. We had a King room , with essentially a private porch out front with... More

This was a stunning B&B and great hosts, watching the storm roll in over New Years eve was amazing (even if it was too rainy to go outside). Breakfast was provided in the room and we ate on the balcony - when the rain stopped. It was walkable to town and great food options only minutes away. We loved our... More

We stayed three nights at Marlin House and the owners , Ray and Helen, made us welcome from the start. The accommodation was homely and really well equipped with everything on hand to make us feel comfortable. The breakfast was served outside on the patio with views over the Bay and we particularly enjoyed the fruit and freshly squeezed orange... More

The location to town is close and you can walk everywhere. Our hosts were discrete but available if and when needed. Our unit was was very private and extremely comfortable. We were a larger group of travellers who stayed in the Marlin 4 bedroom apartment and could not recommend it more ! We chose to stay at Marlin House, Pihia to celebrate our 39th wedding anniversary. It proved to be a fantastic choice. Situated in a very quiet no exit street made for a very relaxing break. A short walk down the road approx 500metres and into the Main Shopping/ restaurant area. There is a good choice of restaurants and takeaway food... More

We booked this bed and breakfast by reading all the previous reviews. The room was lovely, spacious, nicely furnished but on arrival there was no one on site to greet us. I am sorry you felt that way. We have been in the tourist industry for 40 plus years and operating high end accommodation and Marlin House for the last 15 plus months. “Better for a group of friends than couples due to the bed/room setup. Beds are extremely comfortable and the kitchen was in top notch condition. Lots of room to spread out in and amazing view from the lounge. Amazing outdoor areas for dining at as well. ”

“I had a Kingfish Suite, for two People, two-Night Stay. It was a basic room with a huge bed, lounge area, tv, ensuite and dining table with sink and microwave. I was shown a bigger room with more options which could cater for a bigger group of people, like family of friends. That room included a Spa.”
