We had a lovely time in the Bay of Islands, and this motel was one of the reasons. The owners, Norm and Shelagh, are so accommodating and helpful, not to mention being lovely people. We had a corner room with a fabulous view of the Bay...very comfortable accommodations for three adults with a single in the living area and a...

Fantastic views and a lovely pool. This was excellent value for money. The owners were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The in-room facilities were very good, fully equipped with hob and microwave. We were easily tempted to stay for an extra night and would have liked to stay longer. This would be a good base to spend a week or more...

Unfortunately we struck bad weather the two nights and one day we were in Paihia. However we were able to appreciate that there was a fabulous view to be had from our balcony and it would be great to enjoy it on a fine day with a cool drink in hand. Our beds were extremely comfortable and it was good...

We paid a little extra for a chalet with a view of the bay - just like the professional photo above. Spacious and well-equipped accomodation for the three of us - 1 in lounge. Free Wi-Fi and Sky TV available. Short drive down to bay and town. Would recommend to anyone.

We are a couple from Singapore and were on a driving tour from Auckland to cape Reinga. En route we stopped for 3 nights in Paihia at Cook's look out. Over all it was a pleasant experience. The motel offer of a breath taking, panaromic view lived up to its expectations. Also, our room was clean. No complaints about the...

This was our second visit to Cooks Lookout. The first was 9 years ago and the motel has been refurbished since. This is an idyllic spot for a break provided you are after a bit of quiet R & R rather than a centre of town experience. Having said that, Paihia is literally 5 mins by car and there is...

We stayed 4 nights here & just loved the view from unit no 3 up at the top. Each morning the outlook was slightly different according to the weather, one day including a beautiful low-lying mist. The motel is just a few minutes drive from town but absolutely well worth it. Very peaceful at night; just the local cows lowing contentedly! (Very...

Kia ora! We stayed at Cook's Lookout Motel 5 nights because of the wonderful views, clean and comfortable room and central location to base from. We visited Kerikeri Farm Market and city, Russell Island, Cape Reinga, Kari Kari Peninsula, Paihia and it's Saturday market, and Haruru Falls....We had fantastic weather and delightful neighbors! Norm and Shelagh, the owners, were so...
