Pros: Stunning views * Friendly staff Spacious suite split into 4 areas - bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, and dining/lounge * Nice gym Great central location Air conditioning Kitchenette (stovetop, fridge, kettle, toaster) * Spa bath * Cons: Tired, outdated exterior Hair dryer covered in something sticky Door between kitchen area and bedroom would only close 3/4 of the way, which meant...

We stayed here as a couple just the one night. Kingsgate has everything you need and caters for all types of accommodation and it's close to the Paihia Town Centre. Great facilities for teenagers. Pool is nice with Barbecue area at front, means rooms are back off the street so quietly located.

This Hotel was the best of all on our trip to N.Zed. It is well laid out, ocean views from the dinning area and swimming pool area. The swimming pool looks more than inviting, there are tables and chairs at pool side along with a fenced Gazebo area. The staff were very friendly and helpful and liked a joke or...

This hotel is certainly not the best and considering where it is, it should be better. It is badly in need of a deep clean, if not a complete refurbishment. Who these days has carpet on the walls! Our room was a Standard room but it had seen better days. On our arrival there were crumbs of some sort on...

We stayed here for a weekend away, very central and friendly staff. Junior suites are worth the money to stay in if you can afford it. We stayed in 400 wing which was awesome for people watching.and got the sun all day

I chose this location as I was going to a wedding across the road. It probably wouldn't be my choice of hotels in the bay of islands. It is quite dated, but it's clean and has everything you need. I was impressed that the rooms are a good size. My room didn't have a view, although some rooms at the...

Booked two nights in the Junior Suite which overlooked the bay. It had a kitchen (didn't use) and lounge room. The extra space was great. Only the road separated us to the water but we were on the 2nd floor. Cleaning staff very friendly because I had to ask for towels after 1st night only left one. Great location. Only...

Anywhere which advertises "free internet" and then offers 50mb a day ONLY IF USED IN THE BAR should be given 0 stars, but the location is superb and the pool looked lovely. Odd mix of staff - the very nice girl who checked me in had to ask about the internet and when I finally logged on (using my 50mb...
