A quiet and peaceful location with friendly and welcoming hosts. Angie and Leigh did their best to make sure we made the most of our visit to Rotorua and made suggestions of places to go that were less commercial. The accommodation was comfortable, clean and we were entertained by the alpacas which we fed with their equivalent of chocolate treats....

We stayed in the self-catering cottage for three nights. It was clean, very well equipped, and just perfect in every way. We loved the alpacas, and were provided with plenty of food to feed them. We like to self cater and we like privacy and comfort. The cottage exceeded our expectations. Couldn't have been better.

Our own private lodge as part of a couple's small B&B establishment was a complete delight. Our lodge was furnished with everything... they even sold us an excellent bottle if wine and had plenty of food in the fridge for us to make our breakfasts. On top of that, they have several utterly adorable pet alpacas that you can hand-feed....

What wonderful hosts Angie and Leigh were during our stay with them. They were friendly and very knowledgeable of the area so inevitably gave us lots of advice on what to do and where to go. The continental breakfast was so good and lots of it too. Our room was very much up to standard with excellent views and the...

the couple that manage this place were wonderful, they've went above and beyond to stock amenities from endless towels to ear buds shower caps even brochures for all the trips that were in the area, how to get there, time and what would be the best trips to do on the same day due to different destinations that would otherwise...

When you go up Mountain Road you really don't understand. You will, though, once you walk through the doors of City Lights Boutique Lodge. The view of the valley below, including geysers, is magnificent. The chic and efficient BnB is expertly hosted by two British Ex-pats. The place is built as a lodge, affording its guests privacy, comfort, and excellent...

We stayed at City Lights for one night. During our stay Angie made us feel right at home offering local knowledge regarding dinner and attractions. We loved staying here in February, and had a huge, very warm welcome. We were extremely well looked after in every way and the Alpacas just added to the fun of the place. We had lots of good advice and help. The whole place was beautifully clean and well cared for.

We stayed here for two nights in May. Angie and Leigh were the perfect hosts who made us a delectable platter for supper when after a long drive we did not feel like going back into Rotorua to eat.
