The location is close to the lake and Polynesian Spa. Otherwise it was fairly comfortable, but rather dated and impersonal. The rooms are rather dated and decorated in varying shades of beige. There was a distinct lack of power points, though the bed was comfortable and the bathroom functional. Considering the dampness of Rotorua there was nowhere to hang up...

The positives. Staff were lovely, the view (but not the smell, but that's Rotorua) was great and the location perfect. Décor in the rooms and reception area was straight out of the 70's and a bit threadbare. Beds comfortable enough but the lighting was either dim or searchlight. But the bathrooms? Stark, and soulless. A tiny shower cubicle squeezed into...

Found this a comfortable hotel, rooms were spacious and beds comfortable so that made for a good night. Bathroom was a bit small but adequate. Meals were good and plenty of variety. It was a big hotel and meant a bit of walking, no lift so that was a negative but overall quite good.

The exterior is pretty grim and it doesn't get much better inside. Decor is dated, welcome is mechanical, geared for non discerning coach parties. Something out of the 60s. The net curtains are shiny and a tired crumpled gold. Beds are reasonable, bathroom functional. Bar is soulless. Breakfast is corporate style- reasonable. Don't plan to spend too long here

First the staff are friendly & courteous then it becomes painful. This hotel is build near a major freeway and a consequence is road noise 24x7 on at least one side of the property. Don't accept a room near this roadway, if you want to sleep. Internet performance was poor. This hotel could be a convention center. There are large...

Dear Fred Thanks for taking the time to write your review and share it with other travelers, I apologize if the room allocated to you wasn't quiet enough and felt that the road was to noisy, I agree we are a very popular hotel hence why we are so busy, though our quality of service remains the same, thanks for...

At A$78 for a Saturday night stay, I was pretty pleased with what I got. A lot of the local accommodation goes for more than this price, and wouldn't be much better in terms of amenity, location and modernity. I was a bit disappointed that my rate didn't include breakfast, and it seemed a little hard to find a rate...

This hotel is on the edge of the crater walk and all if Rotorua has a smell but it was low odour when I visited. Staff were very polite and respectful. Double beds in twin rooms and breakfast was very well stocked.

I spent one night in a triple room in this hotel in the month of October 2016. I expected budget accommodations, but was disappointed at how low the budget was. The decor has not been refreshed in at least a decade. The grout in the bathroom was dismally dirty. The door to the room was hollow. The showerhead was about...

If you haven't been to Rotorua before be prepared for the smell. There isn't anything you can do about it. The hotel was quite good with comfy beds and good facilities. The wifi is hit and miss. Great location to stay.
