We tent-camped here for one night. The tent area is just a strip of grass at the end of the parking lot. It was mid-week so there was plenty of space for the total of 3 tents that were there that night. The campground facilities are just OK -- kitchen is quite small and only 2-3 stalls in the bathrooms....

Here we experienced the Mouri tour of Te Puia went inside the meeting house, watched the woodcarvers and weavers at work these traditions are passed on to a new generation . The Thermal valley and hot springs, powerful geysers (including the famous Pohutu Geyer and the bubbling, boiling mud pools are all amazing to watch . We also experience eating...

We stayed on the campground for one night and took advantage of the free access to the thermal pools. We came with a tent and the tent sites are on grass. The facilities were reasonably clean. The best thing of the campground was the included access to the thermal pools. We went early in the morning and were nearly the...

Stopped of for dip in hot pools and was pleasantly surprised. Lovely peaceful surroundings nice little bush walk and cafe with very friendly staff. Well worth going the few kilometres of main road between Taupo and Rotorua

We stayed here for two nights. The pools are well landscaped and nicely laid out. We liked that they are emptied every night and refilled early each morning when campers can use them before the complex opens to the public. We can recommend the short eco walk to the spring which is well worth seeing. However if you’re not going...

It was raining quite heavily when we got here. Still we thoroughly enjoyed and spent a good hour and a half here beyond which you start feeling very thirsty & dehydrated. Get your own soap and shampoo for a post pool scrub. Water on tap is available so keep having small sips between. Temperature is quite comfortable ranging between 38-42...

Fantastic place! We stayed the night in our campervan and had a fantastic experience. For $44 NZD including access to the hot pools it was also a great value. The pools were so relaxing - we actually found it less crowded during the day then at night when all the campers were using the pools. No wifi makes it the...

What a great campsite !! I found it by chance and oh what a find. Set in a beautiful thermal valley the campsite's swimming pool and numerous hot tubs are feed from a natural hot spring from which water gushes at 98ºc. After a full day of adventures do your laundry whilst relaxing in a hot tub - sheer luxary.

This is a small thermal pool attraction. Good value for money. You are able to hire towels on arrival and secure your belongings in lockers. Very relaxing as we almost had the whole place for ourselves. Includes a nice nature walk to the source. Well worth the 20 minute drive.

About half an hour of windy road out of Rotorua - you will find this treasure. Very few of the thermal pools in town allow kids in all areas - usually they are confined to one pool with the adults left to enjoy the rest. No such restrictions here. The kids are free to enjoy all six thermally heated pools...

“Go there early afternoon, especially their powered sites are quite popular.”

“We camped. It's a very small site, but they're good enough. The unpowered sites are nicely tucked-away in a little grassy alcove. The powered sites are next to the buildings on a gravel surface, so I preferred the privacy and quiet of the grass area.”
