Again, reasonable, excellent location for walking to The Baths, and EATSTREET: clever idea of making this long block "pedestrian only", canopies against the weather, with all kinds of restaurants, many with live music in the evenings!

Stayed 2 nights in an en-suite double and found it to be very comfortable - the affordable private rooms meant I could give myself a much needed break from dorms and bunk beds. The only slight downside was the lack of heating (especially on an unseasonably cold and miserable spring day), and the thin walls and loudly slamming doors from...

Great rooms, great kitchen, great staff!! Felt like being in a hotel almost but with hostel prices. The kitchen, eating lounge area is nice and big, good size bathrooms as well. Wifi as standard, good connection. Good location as well to access the town. We had a very nice private double room and our friends dorm was good to.

It is a really modern hostel, great rooms, huge kitchen and lounge area. The WiFi is also fast and we could connect in our rooms. The Staff were also very helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend it.

The Rotorua YHA was a very nice place to stay. The beds were amazing and very comfortable. I didn't want to get out of bed the next day because i felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. Close to fantastic shops and the tourist center. Sweet as, mate!

We stayed for two nights on the Private Room. It was excelent! Clean, bright and with towels, very similar to what you would get at a hotel like Ibis - but cheaper! Very well located too, at walking distance from the restaurant area and just in front of the public park. 5 min distnce by car from main atractions, like...

I stayed for 3 nights in a single with shared bathroom, which was nice as walking to/from these facilities and my room meant I met other travellers. There was at least a friendly hello from whoever happened to be around. The reception staff were all outstanding, helping me with discounts given to YHA members when they booked attractions for me....

Clean, great facilities, free parking, friendly staff and a great price :) lovely communal area and terrace! Good location for city and lake. Only downside was a lack of lighting in the room, the only light being a very clinical strobe light. A lamp would have been great :) Wi-fi signal very low in the bedroom but great in communal...

It's okay...been to better yha's. You can tell it's cheaply built as walls are really paper thin (cheap basic plywood!) and you can hear conversations clearly. Also, doors slam ALL the time. I take care not to let them slam, but they really need to add padding or something to the doors and hallway doors. I'm at the end of...

As we were on a bus trip around NZ we got to experience a lot of hostels and the YHA in Rotorua (as with most of the other YHAs) was fantastic from when you step foot in reception. The staff were friendly and have us advice on what to do with our 2 days in Rotorua (go to the Redwoods...
