This is a boutique B&B with 2 great hosts (Gina and David) and a friendly lodge dog, Lenny! Once I arrived to check in, I met Becky who was extremely helpful with providing suggestions of activities and nearby sights as well as showing me around the lodge and all of its great amenities. She really helped me maximize my time...

This felt like heaven! We had the two bed room apartment which had fantastic views over the lake. The apartment was really big and very nicely furnished. There was a full kitchen - which we wanted as we like to cook local food - and if you like playing pool there was a full sized table. The balcony had glorious...

The lakefront location is stunning, with kayaks ready by the charming little beach. Sauna and spa pool right by the water's edge. The accomodation comfortable, cosy and impeccably clean. The cuppa and cake on our arrival were much appreciated. The tennis court in excellent condition. Breakfast delicious, satisfying and wholesome. A very warm and welcoming, personable place. I can't fault it.

Koura Lodge provides simple but comfortable accommodation in a small (8 rooms?) family-run hotel in a great location a few kilometres from the centre of Rotorua. Our room opened onto a lawn on the edge of Lake Rotorua. The hotel has kayaks, hot tub and sauna for the use of residents. There is a communal kitchen with fridge, tea making...

Stayed here for 2 nights. We arrived after 6pm and apparently reception closes at 6pm so they left our room key outside the building in an envelope, which was fine. To get to the room we went through a front door and down a long corridor with rooms to one side and a communal area with a sink and fridge...

A nice lodge, with comfortable room. Strange arrangement for bathroom (which was small) in the middle of the bedroom and dayroom. Shared terrace area, although each room had their own chairs and table outside room, but not really much privacy. Breakfasts ok

The Lodge is within a residential area of the city right on Lake Rotorua with great views. They do a seriously good breakfast cooked by Mike the chef who even makes his own muffins. As it is a lodge they do not provide dinner so you need to take a taxi ride into town. On our two such trips we...

It's Becky and Mike do a fantastic job of running the place for the owners. We should have stayed here another night rather than bothered with Chateau Tongariro in the national park. The lodge is well maintained and clean. Breakfast was wonderful and the surrounding and view are lovely. Hot tub and Sauna if you want to use it. Book...

We stayed for two nights, unfortunately it rained hard whilst we were there. The lodge is in a wonderful location on the edge of the lake and the suites overlook lake and lovely garden. We were extremely well looked after by Michael and Becky. I am not giving five stars as at breakfast tinned peaches and pears were in evidence,...

Thanks for your 4 star review and your lovely comments on both our property and our staff. However, for the benefit of the reader I add the following: Freshly cut seasonal fruit, grapes and bunches of fresh bananas are always part of our everyday buffet offering, along with a selection of both preserved and dried fruits: well at least they...

We arrived from The Coromandel to find a wonderful setting next to the lake. We soon had a jacuzzi admiring the views. Our room is really comfortable and everything is of a high standard. Breakfast excellent and the whole demeanour is great. Very enjoyable and highly recommended
