I booked a King Guestroom Plus which advertised lake facing. Also all of the photos of this room on their website show the outlook from an upper level with lake views. When we arrived we were told our room was on the ground level no views yes it was lake facing but no view only a hedge in front of it. We had to pay more to upgrade to get a lake view. The next issue we had was when we bought 2 glasses of wine only to find after we questioned our account we had been charged for two bottles of wine instead. Wouldn’t bother staying again.

Firstly the good-had a room in the old part of the hotel which had a very comfortable bed, which was probably the only good thing . We had a delux room - read very small but has a view of the lake . Fridge empty not even some fresh milk for the instant coffee - no plunger !! Sky TV- not Restaurant only table available 8.30 pm-possibly my fault but didn't think that as I was a guest that we would have trouble getting a table. Table , alas was wobbly and supported by a napkin [was in place ] - you have to ask how a restaurant manager at a 5 star hotel would tolerate such slackness. Meal was actually rather nice Breakfast- I would say this was a total embarrassment. It was a leaderless chaotic experience. The place was full turning over tables , again our table a different one was supported by a napkin to try and keep it stable. Didn't see any signage for gluten free options at the bread station . The whole ordering of breakfast from the kitchen [ omelette or eggs bene] was done at the table when you could get someones attention.... then a long wait, coffee warm, but cups in short supply, not sure if one should go to the buffet as well. Omelette when it arrived was very poor. So breakfast expensive and I feel totally let down that we were sold a 5 star experience and were delivered at best a 2 star . Sorry Hilton , train your restaurant staff and get rid of damaged furniture

Initially booked to stay in one of the Deluxe rooms in the old portion of the hotel. This was not deluxe!! Website misleading as it portrays the rooms to be lake facing however this is only 'depending on availability' and were instead given a very average (small) room, facing the garden. Not worth the money! It also was not transparent as to whether the new room was at a different price point to the 'deluxe' room initially booked. The hotel had also failed to tell us there was a wedding going on and we were literally above the festivities. We were very appropriately moved to a different room in the newer portion of the building - ground floor but private nonetheless. Room: Lovely bathroom - heated floor always a bonus! Nice sizeable room - comfortable bed, though did feel a little like I was lying downhill - it always surprises me in hotels they they never flip or rotate mattresses. However - very dusty - the glass tables were dirty (removable glass panels on top of the bedside tables were pretty brubby) and the lampshades tatty and ripped on the edges. Carpets very dusty - particularly in the corners. Amenities: Gorgeous outdoor heated pool and hot tub. I was concerned that there were a lot of glasses around the pool area with lots of children running and jumping around. Gym was good for a hotel gym - in the pool room overlooking the pool. Children were however messing around on the gym equipment having just been in the pool which was particularly unpleasant. Steam-room was lovely - maybe come clearer instructions needed about how to turn it on - I worked it out eventually but I could imagine some would have given up. Sauna was nice also but had a weird smell. Almost sweaty sort of smell.... Public changing room (ladies): Dusty bench of sinks with reed diffusers that were old and grubby. The shower was broken - hand held shower holder thing was broken so the shower. was just dangling there. Restaurant area: Food all over the floors - even by 6pm on a Friday night! Staff looked a bit over-run and pretty much throwing menus down in front of people. Didn't eat and this was just observed from the bar. Bar area quite small. Tables sticky. Long time for tables to be cleared. Elected to go back to the room and have a drink in the room instead. Unable to get through to room service - generic message said they were too busy. The physical place - pool room, pool, landscaping, tiling etc was lovely just the finer details really really letting things down! Would really re-consider staying here another time.

Highly recommend the Hilton as a place to host a conference. All the staff were so helpful and friendly, and catered to all our needs. The rooms were amazing especially the apartments, and the catering that we had while at the conference was of a high quality. If you ever need anywhere to host a conference then you need to get in touch with Sam & Kerran at the Hilton and they will help put together a great itinerary for you and also ask for Zurich Marikkar & Tushar Sharma who are the Food & Beverage Mangers who look after all you functions needs.
