Staying at Amori Lodge was a treat! Great location - a short walk from Taupo central - beautifully decorated and presented, spotlessly clean and everything we needed. I’d definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.
A great little BnB in Taupo, just a few minutes walking distance to everything you'd need. Very cleen and comfortable rooms, great breakfast and above all: wonderful owners! We were picked up from the bus and even driven to the busstop in the middle of the night when we had to leave at 1am! We got help booking the Tongariro shuttle and could always ask the hosts whenever we had a question about anything. Thanks again Sue and Ronny, you are really great hosts!! You made us feel welcome from the first to the last second, we wouldn't hesitate to book Amori lodge again. Breakfast was great, too. When we had to leave early (5am) for the Transalpine Crossig, Sue even packed us a generous bag full of goodies to take with us. (Still snacking on the nuts you packed :D) I can recommend this BnB to anyone staying in Taupo. I'm noone to say this often, but it was really a second home while on our travels. Thanks again! :) Patrick and Sonja from Germany …
We had the twin room. It was comfy, clean, the premises was very quaint! Lovely and quiet, close to town, and great hosts :) The breakfast was simple but lovely, the set up of the table was very beautiful. Thanks guys! Will be back again
This is a wonderful bed and breakfast. Super clean and very comfortable. Sue and Ronny are brilliant - very helpful, full of advice for things to do and they provide a delicious breakfast! Book it - you will not be disappointed!
My wife and I stayed at Sue and Ronnie's for 1 night as we traveled around NZ. Prior to arrival communication was smooth, and when we got there Sue made us feel very welcome, asking questions and going out of her way to give information about Taupō in particular, and NZ generally. The room and bathroom were spotless, looked brand new, with a very comfy bed, wardrobe, ceiling fan, and large shower. We made use of the earplugs provided as the walls are quite thin, and enjoyed a sumptuous breakfast with the other guests of toast, cereals, fruit and homemade frittatas, all prepared by Sue and Ronnie. We would definitely stay a night again (Taupō was lovely in the evening), and want to say what wonderful hosts Sue and Ronnie are :-)
