We were in the middle of our NZ trip and wanted a place with free wifi so we could book further accomodation and research things to do. The website states free wifi, however we received tokens that allowed us only 100mb data (about 10-15mins of researching time). When we requested more, we were made to feel quite uncomfortable about the...

The reception is terrible and unfriendly. They are always very busy to give any support and answer questions. Although it is a very clean place (room and toilets), the bed and pillow are very uncomfortable.

Great place to stop overnight between Auckland and Wellington. Rooms are simple but have everything you need, the staff are super friendly and very accommodating especially with our young family of six. Was great to have the ability to all be in the one room.

Nice hotel big room comfy bed, undercover parking or parking outside French doors for some rooms which is convenient. However the room was advertised as 'double room with disabled access' however this is false advertising as the disabled bathroom is shared. It wasn't a huge problem but we felt it should have been made clearer when booking. Decent kitchen to...

I stayed 3 nights in a 5 bed dorm. The dorm was great, towels and fully made beds, TV also. The bathrooms and kitchen are spacious and always clean. I loved my stay hear. Only two small complaints, the pillows are really hard and the shower heads suck. But everything else was superb. I would stay again. Thankyou

Comes with above and beyond service, very comfortable and clean, had a great night stay, highly recommend! Views of the lake for a very affordable price. Simple although modern, very cosy. Laundry and wifi made my day being an international traveller. Close to town, close to lake without all the bells and whistles.

Stopped in here on the way to Auckland, nice clean and functional motel, had a shared toilet/bathroom which might not be some peoples liking but it was fine for me and my son. Would happily stay here again.

I have brought a group to the Silver Fern Lodge for several years, and all aspects have been completely satisfactory. My group is on a budget, and the group accommodations are quite fairly priced. The staff has been a delight to work with, and has bent over backwards to help me and my group, including helping arrange activities in and...

I stayed at the Silver Fern for five days in a four person dorm room. For one, I wasn't happy with the bathrooms being a common resource down the hallway. A second thing that bothered me about this place is that nothing was included. There was almost nothing to do at the lodge, and even the WiFi cost money. They...
