Fabulous, everything you'd wish for! Fantastic views, private, great location even for the city by ferry. I cannot think of a more pleasant place to spend time actually. The proprietors are terrific...so helpful, SUCH GOOD COOKS. Worth EVERY cent.

We stayed here during a mini weekend away from Wellington and absolutely loved it. The room is perfectly decorated, warm, with amazing attention to detail. The hosts were absolutely lovely. Nothing was too much trouble. They were so friendly and knowledgable about the area and had lots of options for things to do in Eastbourne. Their breakfasts were definitely a...

What a great alternative to staying right in the city centre; at Days Bay we found ourselves just a ferry ride to Wellington or short car ride to the railway station in Petone and a stress free rail trip right into the city centre. Hosts John and Annette obviously love what they're doing being perfect hosts and providing a lovely...

This was our first experience of a B & B and we chose it because of its location. John and Annette made us very welcome in their lovely home and were super hosts. The view from our beautifully decorated 3rd floor room was spectacular and the they had thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and...

Hi Barbara, I forgot this was your first B&B, welcome to the "club", many B&Bs are just like ours. Today we have a fierce storm with waves crashing over the road and surf right up to the road. However it is very warm and we are expecting a lovely weekend, just in time for our next guests.

John and Annette were wonderful hosts and made us feel welcome form the moment we stepped into their beautiful home. Accommodation was excellent - modern, stylish and comfortable. The views are to die for! Location was great, harbourfront, very quiet, yet minutes walk to local cafes, restaurants and charming Eastbourne village. Easy 5 min walk to ferries to Wellington City...

From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed after a long tiring journey. My Husband was invited to go out kayaking with John and was doing so within half an hour of our arrival, whilst I enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub, after that we had a lovely meal at the local restaurant and then back to the magnificent...

We were greeted very warmly & shown to a cosy room overlooking the bay. Our hosts were very friendly & helpful. Breakfast was beautifully presented & delicious, with attention to detail which was very much in evidence in their lovely home. We ate with our hosts which offered a good opportunity to chat about the local area & amenities on...

Thank you Carol-Anne, we enjoyed your stay, we really enjoy our breakfast chats with guests. The frangipani are starting to flower now, we were a little late getting them started this year and we thought they may not do very well, but they look OK.

I hadn't planned to stay at this wonderful B&B, however I'm so glad that things worked out the way they did. The breakfast of homemade bread, interesting preserves and honey plus fresh seasonal fruit was perfect. However it was the room and the view from the bedroom that had us in raptures. Even in a stormy Wellington evening the view...

Thank you for your lovely comments, I am writing during a very strong storm and it is very interesting with surf looking like it is "breaking over our bow" as it disappears under the balcony view. It is wonderfully warm and calm inside :-)

My husband and I had business to do in Wellington City for three days over a long weekend and stayed at Days Bay Homestay with hosts John and Annette for those three nights. While the trip into the city each day around all those beautiful bays and harbour was a magical way to start the working day, it was the...

A room with a breathtaking see view - like living in an tree house near the see. Annette and John are wonderful host's. You are always welcome having a glas of wine and talk to them. They gave us lots of good adresses for Wellington trips and we could take their bikes for a tour. You will have your own...

Hi Caroline, It was wonderful to have you here for a whole week, we really enjoyed your stay. I love the pictures you sent of your Kauri Bench, that timber was stored in a swamp for about 30,000 years before being excavated to make your bench. Kura are a great visit :-) Did you notice our tables in the same...
