We arrived as two couples on Xmas Day, which was possibly not a good day to arrive. Staff at reception obviously did not want to be there and it showed. Maybe it was because they also serve at the adjacent bar and make the coffee and are kept fairly busy, but not a good start. My wife is a platinum...

This is a very fun quirky hotel located near the waterfront in Wellington, near Te Papa, close to downtown. The furnishings and artworks are fun and fabulous to see, fun to be surrounded by. The restaurant is in a terrific spot, with great views across the bay. If you arrive on a Sunday, be sure to check out the very...

I really love this hotel. I have stayed many times before. This time we stayed in the water view with balcony room at the front of the hotel. Lovely view and nice bathroom but a little disappointed as we didn't have the normal fabulous vibe of the rooms i'm used to in the hotel with the art deco wallpaper and...

The hotel is located on the seafront promenade, close to Te Papa, the national museum. Our view room had a good size balcony, and was spacious and well appointed. The luxury bathroom with a large glass walk in shower with a rain head and slide shower. The decor in the public spaces is refreshingly over the top, in comparison to...

This hotel has it's own art collection and it was great to enjoy a glass of wine and follow the tour of all 54 or so pieces. It's also very quirky with the hippo door handles and dark corridors. The guy playing the piano was outstanding.the rooms are outstanding and the service very good. We stayed for the night and...

A little pricey, maybe just of concert business but was impressed with hotel. Loved the different décor and the room was excellent. Definitely look at staying there again if price competitive, night time room service short on food and pre packaged.

The location is excellent. The rooms were of a good standard but this was to be expected for the price being charged. The staff were excellent but again, to be expected. I found the room to be a little on the small size, even though I'd booked an executive suite. Considering the price paid for the room, I do feel...

I really do! The staff are great and go out of their way to help (they obviously train them well). Nothing has been lost since they recently changed ownership. I have only recently stayed in the apartments so don't know what the 'hotel' space is like but the apartments are still really nice. The location is great - so close...

Great little funky hotel. Very comfortable, staff are all accommodating and very centrally located, it is very close to Te Papa, Courtenay Place, Oriental Parade & more! True to it's name, it is a museum. Wonderful paintings and sculptures welcome you from the moment you get into the door.
