We chose this only because it was close to Te Papa, the National Museum of NZ, and were delighted to discover extra-cordial and helpful staff and first-rate rooms. Clean and bright, not expensive, nice views of the city and harbour. Highly recommended!

I had a busy 30hrs in Wellington & enjoyed revisiting The Amora. The hotel feels safe is well located to cafes, the museum & buses if needed - Taxis await at the door. The Amora has a great harbour view & friendly welcoming staff. I thoroughly recommend the high tea if you have friends/ family to catch up with. Delicious...

The reception staff were excellent - really helpful in every which way. The room was ok on floor 9 had good views over the front at Wellington, but it just wasn't outstanding. House keeping didn't top us up with milk, tea or coffee so we had to ask for it and at the end of the day in comparison with...

Very nice hotel in the heart of town. You can easily walk to restaurants, shops, and the wharf with no uphill climb. Our room is spacious and freshly decorated. Staff is very helpful. We also used the restaurant for breakfast and one dinner. Very good food and service.

The hotel has some newly renovated rooms which we were fortunate to receive one at check-in. The staff are friendly and helpful with tips on restaurants and tours and how to catch the ferry over to the south island. Room was clean, well appointed, comfortable bed and no street noise or between room noise. We also had a view of...

This hotel is 2 blocks away from Te Papa, centrally located and really close to Cuba street. It is a little dated and there was mildew on the knobs, but the service was friendly. The paint was cracked when we stayed there, but it was also 2 weeks after the earthquake in Kaikoura so that may have been the reason....

Stayed for 4 days early March with partner and a 4 yo. No one to take luggage upon arrival. Booked a King sized bed but got x2 doubles. Asked to change but told the hotel was fully booked so managed. At breakfast we were one of about 3 others the entire stay. Breakfast was great. Cereals and all the usual...

We enjoyed a very good two night stay at this hotel. The hotel is in an excellent location, close to the waterfront and the Museum . It has great facilities including a gym and free guest laundry. The entry foyer to the hotel is expansive, well furnished and welcoming. Interestingly, while the foyer is impressive, the hallway to our 5th...

Excellent location. Restaurants, shops, TePapa museum &cable car all within walking distance. Worth booking a front room with beautiful harbour view. Our room on 9th floor was spacious & comfortable & no noise issues so good night's sleep. However what makes the hotel really special are the staff. They are extremely professional and extremely friendly in all their dealings plus...

Modern, clean, spacious room with great toiletries, amenities. Laundry available for guests to use at no cost and soap is provided. Not in the thick of the downtown area, but very close to the National Museum and in walking distance of the CBD. We had dinner in the restaurant one night and it was pretty mediocre. We wouldn't eat there...
