Skip this one...it's shabby, dirty and basically a hostel. Photos looked okay but what a disappointment. We paid extra for the king suite and even that didn't make it worthwhile. The beds are old, saggy, and have threadbare spreads.

Stayed in a hotel room accommodation while other family rented a 2 bedroom motel unit out the back, both options were great, nothing flash about the hotel rooms but have the basics we needed for a couple of nights, comfortable beds, good showers, tea making facility etc. The 2 bedroom unit was very good, had everything you need, nice and...

Booked large budget twin room for two friends visiting Wellington for WOW show.We found the room and bathroom spotlessly clean, if some what sad and in need of refurbishment. Beds were comfortable. Friendly helpful staff were a big bonus for strangers to this city. The location so near to so many attractions was really good, many within walking distance. The...

Budget accommodation is small and I found the room cramped and the bed a little uncomfortable. Very convenient to bustling Courtney place eateries as well as busses. Not bad for the price. Staff were friendly and helpful

Chose this motel through the Wellington I-Site office. $99 special and the motel is conveniently located near Te Papa museum. Room is just big enough for one person to walk, but of a squeeze for two people. Bathroom is clean and excellent water pressure and heater. Queen bed was too springy for my back though I do appreciate the electric...

I stayed in Halswell Lodge for 2 days recently. The building was reasonably but was extremely clean and tidy- pristine condition . My room was relatively small but it was very comfortable. The staff were fantastic- very friendly and helpful. The cost per night was good value and it's location is very handy, near Te Papa and the central Wellington...

Bad parking. Others were parked badly and so no one else could find a space. Not enough parks for the units provided. When I rang the office to say there were no parks available it was said I should have reserved one on booking. I wasn't aware this had to be done and wasn't asked at the time of booking...

Very small rooms in the building itself however the units out the back looked pretty good. The room we have was very very small the door hit the bed as you went in and was a juggle to squeeze the suitcase through as well as yourself. There was two fairly big stains on our rooms Wall they looked like coffee???...

Halswell was perfect for our 3 day stay in Wellington. Tired, but clean, quiet and very comfortable, also very close to amenities. Good value for money. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Only problem were the stairs and short but steep driveway, a challenge for the elderly, which we are! All the same, we would certainly stay there again.

Welcoming and smiling people from the reception is the best thing you could expect upon arrival. We took a large room with full kitchen facilities. Coffee, tea, chocolate and milk provided. Generous wifi allowance. Good location.
