My friend and I had a stay in november and lived in a private bunkbed room and had our worst night ever! The smell in the room was horrible and smelled like a drunk man's breath. The toilets were all dusty and dirty and we didn't wanna touch anything. All the walls were covered in horrible paintings and mud and...

A disgustingly neglected stinking room and you couldn't open the window because something was broken. Bathroom and toilet floor covered with toilet paper - no way you would want to wade thru to get to a shower. The whole place was pretty filthy everywhere.

This is very run down compared to how it used to be. Generally dirty, broken furniture in room. Broken glass in window - could not close window. If you have any standards, do not stay here. Shame on the new owners.

Reception is extremely slow, prepare to feel frustrated every time you stand there as everybody waits a long time. The staff are fine, not particularly friendly and one girl who knows her stuff...

Well I had hoped that this place would be nice as the location seemed perfect for what we wanted but boy was I wrong, firstly after earlier ringing about car parking and being informed it was $10 and to pay on arrival we were informed by someone who you could tell "loved" his job that all the car parks were...

This hostel isn't exactly the best. I stayed in a large room (10) in front of the street and was noisy at nights. the bed was really really uncomfortable. The common kitchen has utensils, fridge, microwaves. Good location and in front is a bus line (close to supermarket, restaurants, attractions like Te Papa Musuem), but isn't close to ferry station...
