Don't believe the hype, it is neither comfortable nor casual nor for VIPs. The lack of fresh paint, stains on the carpet, and general air of neglect should warn you off. We had no choice, we had pre-booked, and Wellington was sold out. There was no lighting on the steps or driveway although the steps had been waterblasted recently. A...

Only reason we chose this place was because it's location, in region of Mount Victoria, in the city of Wellington. However, it still wasn't close enough where we wanted to get to, (museum, weta studio, botanic garden - still have to drive for all those) not in walking distance to anything. On top of that, it's placed on top of...

As a single female traveller, I did not feel safe here. The bad feeling started when I saw the sign on the street. It was old and faded and had graffiti on it. A bad start if the owners can't even be bothered cleaning up the sign. The place is very old and run down. My room was clean, but...

I could not find any other camping site in the City except this one. S we went there and parked in the car park overnight. As the car park is located on a hill! there were some lumbers provided to fix your uneven camper-van! However it did not work for us and we had a funny position all the time!...

We parked in the carpark overnight with our campervan and quite honestly this was the best place to be in this lodge! The inside was old and smelly and in serious need of renovation, the kitchen was disgusting and the bathrooms were dirty and the toilets didn't lock or flush properly. It seemed to be some sort of half way...

Stayed here for two nights in April 2015. The hallways, dining room and loungroom were vacuumed every day. The bathrooms while outdated were fairly clean. Unfortunately there was no lockers to keep our belongings safe as we were camping in the back yard, but reception did keep a backpack locked in a room for us. The long term residents didn't...

My friends and I stayed here as a last resort over Homegrown weekend as everywhere else was fully booked. After reading all of the horrible reviews for the place, we really expected the worse! I am happy to say we were pleasantly surprised with our overall experience and we think the place deserves more than the one star that most...
