If you want to see Wellington, there is a bus stop just in front that brings you to the city centre in less than 10 minutes. One guest can park a car on the property, for other guests a nearby parking that is free of charge from 6 pm to next morning 8 am, and limited to one hour otherwise....

We chose BnBs for our trip rather than hotels or resorts precisely for the kind of experience we had here ... personalized attention and an at home feel of the place. Booklovers is quaint and comfortable with good service and attention, both from Jane and other staff. For those exploring LOTR locations, it's also a short walk from Mt Victoria...

A word of warning. If you want a sterile chain hotel with strips across the lavvy to prove it has been cleaned, and an identikit welcome in every town, do NOT stay here. If you want a great welcome, a stay in a really nice friendly house where you are well looked after and you can sit over breakfast and...

Our bedroom was upstairs facing the road at the front of the house. It was cluttered and tired, the sort of room you would enjoy staying at in a friend's house, but it didn't feel appropriate in a fairly expensive B&B. The tiny shower room was awkwardly designed. However, I think at least one of the other bedrooms was more...

On arrival we received a friendly welcome from our host Jane. Our daughter and her fiancé had already arrived from Auckland (Ashburton for us) and were comfortably installed relaxing in their room. Our room was lovely. The Bed and Breakfast is close to town but right next door to the Mt Victoria green belt and we could hear the tuis...

We 'booked' Booklovers for the last night of our North Island road trip. The host Jane was very welcoming and helpful, especially as we needed breakfast at 6am to catch our early morning interisland ferry. Would happily stay here again :-)

We stayed for three nights and enjoyed it very much. We had a very good welcome. Booklovers likes to offer unfussy hospitality and it did just that. We enjoyed the sunny terrace and the lounge where we connected with other guests. The location is good being close to the centre of town.

We originally chose Booklovers because we both like books, read them, write them and even design them, so a b&b devoted to the pleasure of books seemed an obvious choice. The location sounded perfect for us too, walkable to the city, edging a green belt, elevated views and free parking. We arrived and were immediately met by a friendly face...

We booked here for 3 nights and, like other reviewers, were surprised that the house didn't live up to it's impressions on the web. Our room at the front was noisy...either buses or kids on skateboards made sure we were awake. Yes, Jane was charming and tried hard despite feeling unwell. However, we wouldn't stay again or recommend to friends....

Arriving on a bleak rainy spring day it was so wonderful to enjoy a peaceful and cosy evening in this lovely large and old beautifully appointed home. Jane was an excellent hostess and the breakfast was everything you could hope for and absolutely delicious. i especially enjoyed the poached boysenberries! The bedroom was large and comfortable -including an amazing selection...
