Our group arrived a couple of hours before the official checkin time, and the front desk staff smilingly arranged for us all to get rooms, rather than telling us to go away and come back later, as some properties will choose to do. Rooms were nice, location was good, staff were friendly, rate was fair. Excellent overall experience.

The bedrooms were clean and large, plenty of room to move around even with 2 queen beds. A very short walk to Lambton Quay, the railway station (day trip to Greytown) and the waterfront (ferry to Somes Island) and Te Papa Museum. A heated pool and spa were bonuses after long days exploring.

Our recent stay at Rydges in Wellington was okay, but in my opinion the cost of an upgraded room was not at all worth the it. We tacked on an extra night and upgraded our room for 'harbour views' which meant we were looking at the side of an old shabby concrete building & had the noise of cranes working...

We enjoyed our time in Wellington, we specially picked this hotel as it was close to the stadium for an A-League match we wanted to attend but found in the day we did have to walk around a bit along the water and in to the city to see the main sights! Definitely doable if you don't mind walking! Some...

This hotel is especially nice if you're on foot. It is in the heart of the city and many of the best attractions are within easy walking distance. The hotel itself is extremely comfortable with very nice rooms with all the amenities. The bar and lobby combination have large cushy chairs and an assortment of table / chair combinations that...

We had a warm welcome but were told that there was no where to park and we would have to find a space on the streets. As we were there when there were several things going on including the rugby and a sea front festival there was no parking on the streets. The concierge finally said he could move a...

The title of my review says it all. Since I had an early morning coach travel to Auckland, I chose this hotel because its proximity to the railway station and to downtown Wellington. my room ( 1706 ) was very spacious with a balcony facing the parliament area and the botanic garden. The spacious bathroom was very well equipped. Highly...

We had a great room with views across the City. The staff were very helpful and it is close to the harbour & restaurants with easy access to the Ferry terminal about 2 miles away. Be aware that there is no free parking in Wellington the Hotel charge $30 for parking if it is available. We had to park on...

This is a 17 floor modern hotel with friendly, helpful staff. It is close to the harbour front and ferry terminals for South Island and close to the Parliament buildings and shops. Our room on the 17th floor had great views across the city roof tops and was particularly good at night. The restaurant was good and although we only...
