Nice and quiet with clean rooms and very friendly front of house staff. Close to CBD, Cuba St and Victoria University. Lambton Quay is just down to road and a nice casual walk to both the waterfront, railway station and for the fitter, Westpac Stadium.

We are regulars at the Astelia. Wellington accommodation is becoming more and more expensive and the Astelia represents good value as a centrally located comfortable apartment hotel. Apartments are good basic standard and the cleaning and maintenance standards good. Basic kitchenettes are well equipped and fine for self catering. Front desk staff are friendly and helpful.

Great location. We were minutes from Cuba street and the harbor area. It was nice to have a washer/dryer. Would be nice to have a fan, since no a/c. Staff was very helpful and professional. There was a coffee shop right next door, also nice!

A narrow street frontage, but a great welcome from the reception staff. The studio apartment was spacious, well equipped, quiet and very clean. The hotel is well located for the shops, eateries, cable car and harbour facilities. Being an extra five minutes from the harbour means the cost is reasonable. A great place to stay.

No aircon on a warm night. I left window open but then the drunks on the Street indicated me. Bed was comfortable. For the price it would have been nice to have later than 10 am check out. Internet worked fine and was free. Thats a bonus because most Kiwi hotels avoid it like the plague.

Being 5/10 minutes away from most everything you want to see is a real bonus. We were especially lucky with our apartment as we were upgraded to a larger room for which many thanks. We stayed two nights in the Astelia, It seems to be going through some upgrading and once that is sorted it can potentially be an excellent downtown hotel. It is very well located, we walked everywhere It was a touch expensive for what it currently is, when you add the car parking fee to your room rate. Our bathroom was...

As you say, we are currently in the process of upgrading Astelia. Unfortunately, carparking in the inner city is rarely free of charge and at Astelia it is no exception. As we don’t have parking onsite, we have negotiated a discounted rate with Wilson’s Parking conveniently located across the street. We also have rooms available with king beds, so please...

One night spent here this week. Room was updated and well maintained. Very hot in the room and no air conditioning or fans. Our room was wheelchair accessible, however this made the shower incredibly low unless you wanted to sit - however, we did not require a wheelchair accessible room.

Thank you for your feedback. Our front desk staff are happy to have a fan delivered to the rooms as is mentioned in our compendium. Please do indicate that the wheelchair access room(s) we have are not to your taste and we will do our very best to ensure these are not allocated to you.
