Both cottages have a beautiful view of the vineyard, and it's close to all the other wineries in Blenheim. Trudy was so helpful - she booked our dinner at Arbour (which was great), helped us navigate to the best wineries, and introduced us to their adorable cat and some baby hedgehogs living in their garden. We had a wonderful stay...

My wife and I had been very highly recommended about Strawlodge by friends in the UK where we normally live. Based in wonderful vineyard scenery looking at magnificent mountains, the scenery of Marlborough/Blenheim was matched by the hospitality of our hosts and the accommodation both of which were as lovely as one could ever wish for. Value for money plus...

Straw lodge sits amid a lovely vineyard in the heart of NZ wine country. Owners Barry & Trudy are extremely hospitable. We were met with a bottle of wine and a cake to celebrate our anniversary. Our suite was large, comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast was sumptuous and included homemade croissants, jams, eggs from their free range chickens, veges and...

My sister and I could not have been more delighted with our hosts, Trudi and Barry. We were greeted with an enormous platter of food and a complimentary bottle of their World's End Sauvignon Blanc and the room and accommodations were so amazingly stylish, yet cozy. The grounds were beautiful and they made reservations for us at a wonderful restaurant....

Our stay at Strawlodge was perfect from start to finish. The correspondence leading up to our stay was extremely helpful. Trudy organized a hiking trip and restaurants for us. We were traveling with our 18month old daughter and Trudy and her family made us feel at home. The rooms are spacious with a sitting area and a great deck. The...

We reserved 2 nights but stayed 3 because the Straw Lodge exceeded our expectations. The suite is located in the vineyard, nicely decorated, has its own private patio with beautiful views of the grape vines, and is quiet. The food is wonderful with fresh baked goods and fresh fruit each day in the suite, a made to order hot breakfast...
