I've been there just for one night with my family. But it was a good and quiet night. Very clean, comfortable place and easy to get to the airport. Margaret greeted us personally, introduced us to the room very kindly and carefully. I do recommend that bed and breakfast in Christchurch.

We flew into Christchurch late in the day and were more than pleased with the accommmodations at the St. James B&B. Margaret was gone, but the key to the stables was there for us, and we settled in easily. The unit was attractively decorated and impeccably clean. Margaret had provided a lovely breakfast pie, bread for toasting, jams, fruit, ramen...

My wife and I stayed here for a couple of days and absolutely loved it. We tried to change or plans to stay longer. The owner is a lovely lady who knows how to make you feel welcomed. The location is very relaxing even though the airport is very close. A lot of thought was put into the design of...

We stayed one night. Chose this Bed & Breakfast because it was close to the airport. We had traveled all over New Zealand for 24 days. It was nice to relax in this beautiful home. We chose this Bed and Breakfast for its proximity to our rv rental and airport location. Turns out we actually could easily walk to the rental places. The B&B is a wonderful place to stay: an all around beautiful house and garden with plenty of little touches to make it special. Thank you to our host for making our final...

I stayed at St James B&B for a total of 4, non consecutive, nights during my stay in New Zealand and I can highly recommend it! Each room is individually decorated and has a personal touch to it. Finding home made cookies and muffins in the room was very nice! I was very impressed by the breakfast! Fresh brewed coffee,...

Stayed at St James briefly for one night on a Christchurch stop over at the end of a long trip and we were so glad we did. Close to the airport and only 15-20 min from the town centre. The facilities were great and Margaret was the perfect host. We're a bit hesitant of pet friendly establishments due to past exposure, but Margaret's dog and cat should be on the payroll. Clean, well behaved and making us feel welcome at all times.
