Close to the airport and only 15-20 min from the town centre. The facilities were great and Margaret was the perfect host. We're a bit hesitant of pet friendly establishments due to past exposure, but Margaret's dog and cat should be on the payroll. Clean, well behaved and making us feel welcome at all times.

Margaret was so welcoming and the Magnolia room exquisite! What a memorable experience. Perfect in every way followed by a gourmet breakfast...simply amazing. By far the nicest B and B we've stayed in anywhere.

Margaret was a most welcoming host. Magnolia room was lovely, very well appointed and the adjoining lounge was perfect. Breakfast all you could ask for and we feel we have made a new friend in Margaret. We will certainly be telling friends to take the opportunity of staying at St James B & B when they visit Christchurch and it...

Me and my family have a superb time staying at st James b&b. It was our first night arriving in NZ. Only a short drive from the CHC airport. The loft room is cozy with an ensuite bathroom. Margaret was not here when we get there but her daughter is just as friendly and helpful. The bed is really comfortable...

This was our first trip to Christchurch and St. James was the perfect oasis for our 3 day stay in Christchurch before a long self- tour of the island. Margaret was the perfect hostess and her bubbly enthusiastic manner was so welcoming. St James is located near the airport yet the property is enclosed in a beautiful green forest/farm setting....

My experience from making first contact with the host Margaret via email, to when she dropped me off at a nearby office after I checked out was truly awesome. As a business traveller that spends over 260 nights a year on the road, I decided to try a B&B for a short business trip to Christchurch. Accommodation in Christchurch can...

This was our first stop, arriving feeling weary after our long flight. Margaret couldn't have made us feel more welcome. Pewter Loft had every home comfort, including bathrobes and slippers, welcome cookies, armchairs and sofas and most of all, such a comfortable bed I slept a full 9 hours. Breakfast was amazing, with so much choice, mostly organic and something for...

We spent three nights at St James B&B in Ferbuary 2016 and I have to say first of all that Margaret Frankish is a hostess second to none. Nothing is too much trouble for her. We had a great room, very cosy. And her breakfasts were excellent too, with any amount of choice. The house is close to the airport,...

This is a lovely place to stay & it was our second visit, this time was after arriving at Christchurch after a long flight from UK. Although Margaret wasn't available this time, her stand in, Lesley, was an excellent hostess & we were again made to feel most welcome. The bedroom, & bed, were lovely & comfortable & it's so...

We stayed on the way to the south island as it was near the airport, we did not expect much. We were happily suprised about the effort and attention to details of our host, she really likes what she does, and we felt home, the bed was very confortable, the breakfast perfect. She gave us good recommendations for dinner, we...
