All you need in a nice atmosphere. Very friendly and helpful staff, clean and just perfect to start or end a NZ Trip. For me was a big feature the possibility to store a bike. It's a little bit outside of downtown, so it's a good place if you looking for a quiet and easygoing hostel. Thanks Haka Lodge and...

FABULOUS place to stay. Clean, tidy, quiet, friendly. The staff (George and others) was fantastic- they were very accommodating to us, especially as we checked in and out a couple of times during our two weeks in NZ. We always felt like we were coming back "home". They allowed us to store our things while we went on the Milford...

The hostels itself is small which makes it very familiar and quiet. It feels like a second home in NZ. The staff is extremely kind and helpful. Everything was super clean and you could see that they also have an eye for details and care about the condition of the hostel. In the kitchen you"ll find all sorts of herbs...

We stayed in a 4 bed dorm. The beds have a privacy curtain and a neat little basket for small items and a personal light. The kitchen and lounge are well equipped and laid out; the hostel is well located, clean and modern.

That’s how I felt when I stayed at Haka Lodge!! It is a gorgeous cozy house where you feel like home. There are not too many rooms, so I recommend booking in advance. The staff is super friendly and they would do anything to make you feel comfortable. The day I was leaving Christchurch I couldn´t get an Uber and...

Stayed two nights in a dorm, good beds (normal beds no bunks) confortable, Locker in the room. Very clean. There is a new world nearby. Only bad point was that there was no bathroom in the floor I was in.

First night in New Zealand we stayed here in Haka Lodge, Linwood. A very cozy place and clean. Our bedroom is at the attic which it was my favourite spot. Overall, this place is very homely. You can see from the pictures that I shared here. Definitely will come again!

Cozy little hostel with a homey feel, helpful staff, and a nice layout. The dorm is divided so there's some extra privacy, and there's a nice lounge for meeting other travellers or curling up with a book. Definitely recommend!
