I stayed here for two nights ..room was full off mozzies...and the bed very uncomfortable .no towel and the toilet smelled of urine ...I found the manager rude ...and too sure off her self ..I made reservations over the phone for three nights yet when I got there ...there was no record off my stay and my name was wrong...

Very recommendable. Warm welcome, friendly staff. Great location, within walking distance to Chch main places to see. Nice big common areas (indoor and outdoor) and buildings, much bigger than what it looks like from the outside. Clean :)

Wonderful :) Clean. Pretty garden. Helpful staff and not-staff ;) I came in and immediately sat down with the nicest people I've met in a long time. The yard, garden, kitchen and lounge are perfect for getting in contact with other travellers. At 11 pm people go to the lounge or into town so that the garden and dorms are...

We stayed twice. One night each. We were made to feel welcome and comfortable. Zoe and all the others were very helpful, full of and eager to offer very useful advice. Great rooms, beds, garden and kitchens. I would recommend and return!

The way we were treated as we checked in was the most unprofessional way I have ever experienced. We were told to go wait in the lounge because she was in the middle of checking a huge group in......totally understandable. We had been traveling and fell asleep in the lounge because she had taken so long to check us in....

Dear cblackburn116, We were both shocked and surprised to read your comments on Trip Advisor. Our manager Zoe was extremely upset by her interaction with you and felt she had acted with your best interests in mind. I think this is why she was so upset when you confronted her. She is an experienced, compassionate and excellent manager who is...

I initially checked in for one night, and then extended again, and again, and again... Foley Towers is great! It almost feels too good to be a hostel. Fastidiously clean, spacious rooms and communal areas, lovely garden and loads of shared rooms without bunks. Its not a party hostel but its always a great crowd staying here and you can...

Karo, Zoe and Laura are the best we didn't get the chance to meet them but they are just Legends!!! We flew in really late and had to leave early the next morning, they arranged to give us the code to access the office to pick up our key with a map of the hostel not to get lost and...

As I´ve stayed in quite a few hostels round New Zealand I can say Foley Towers is still my absolute favorite. It´s charming and lovely atmosphere definitely gives it a touch of a home away from home as much as the friendly and helpful staff at reception. Unlike lots of other hostels it is outstandingly clean and tidy!

One of the best hostels I have ever stayed in. Very comfortable and friendly. Always seems to be a community kinda feel to the place. Zoe and laura and Karo ar running the place amazingly. 10-15 min walk to city center. About 5 min walk to closest bus stops. Big car park and big kitchens with good utensils.

Things might have changed since we visited, but this was unfortunately the worst BBH hostel we stayed in when we visited New Zealand. We had about 7-10 spiders of varying size in our room and bathroom that I had to clean up (my partner hates spiders). It was quite obvious from that and the webs etc that things hadn't been...
