We stayed here at the beginning and end of our tour - the motel was chosen by the company who arranged our self-drive trip. The motel has a bit of a dull aspect, and a kind of untidy looking office, but the staff were always very friendly and helpful. There are two bedrooms which is great because we were able...

Stayed here with 7 family members across 2 rooms in late March. Checkin was after midnight due to our flights and the hosts made sure we had instructions for this. Nice! Rooms were basic, but very clean and tidy. Beds were comfortable for all our party (age range from 18 to 75 - so they were picky). Bathrooms were clean...

Lovely place to stay. Owners very friendly and went above and beyond to help with information on the city. Although room very small, it was enough for us and we weren't concerned. Bathroom was beautiful and clean. Small fridge provided and bed was comfortable. Pub close by (5-10min walk). Would highly recommend.

Stayed for 2 nights and this motel more than adequate. Not 4 star but comfortable with kitchen in room. Hosts were very obliging in helping out with information and phoning taxis etc. Had use of barbecue for tea 1 night.

Highlights of my stay with Aotea include: - very responsive communication with staff - fresh and clean rooms and bedding - stove, cooking utensils, fridge, complimentary tea and coffee, tv, free wireless internet, taxi discount - a very low price - and a great outdoor spa I could not have asked for more. My fiancee made use of the laundry,...

We have a two room apartment for 6 people. The apartment is clean. The kitchen is simple, but only for easy cooking. The water is very small in the shower room. Generally speaking, it is a budget stay,

I have stayed here a couple of times and always found it very clean and tidy and in a great location. Although the decor is a little tired, I am only sleeping there not living there, so it is fine Annette, is always very friendly and ready to help. I will definitely stay there again and again.

This was comfortable enough. Bathroom set up was very strange and small but generally okay. Very suitable for a one night stay. There is no free wifi though and in today's day and age I think this is strange?! Easy to get into the main city with a rental car. A good choice for a budget comfortable stay, I wouldn't...

Thank you for your comments. I am so sorry you were not offered any free wifi as we definitely have wifi available & some free. We are in a very handy location for a drive into the CBD or are within a comfortable walking distance also. Thank you for the opportunity to improve our offer.

This was our first hotel in NZ.All was booked through Flight Centre, so I'm not sure of the cost. The place was pretty easy to find ( although you cant chuck a 'u-ey' on Bealey Ave), clean , and a bit dated. However, I'm yet to meet a more friendly and interested host! I'm sorry I'd forgotten the lady's name...
