The location of this B&B was good for access to the city but the very steep road up to the property and the parking was not mentioned anywhere. The drive to the small car park is not for the faint-hearted and the walk up and down the hill to town needs a few stops. The B&B appeared to be run...

This is an old quirky B&B run by a nice helpful woman from Vladivostok and her kiwi partner. It has a variety of rooms with and without an ensuite bathroom. Its around the corner up View street which is a block long but very steep hill. Its not a fancy place and breakfast consists of many types bread , cereal...

I stayed in this hotel for two nights. Although this hotel is ten minutes’ walk from Octagon (City Center), this hotel is situated in upside hill area. There is no public transport from Dunedin Airport to city center. Only door to door shuttle service is available from the airport. City center is quite far Dunedin Airport. This hotel is very...

This place was a bit weird. Friendly staff member and nice comfy bed but old and shabby interior, only one bathroom to be seen (to be shared among many guests), and poor selection at breakfast. Good location and price but could be cleaner and have better upkeep.

This B&B looks like it's out of a fairytale - so cute! Staff were very pleasant. The room was quite spacious with a comfortable bed and decent bathroom. For breakfast there was cereal, juice, yoghurt and fruit and toast. Its a 7 minute walk downhill to the Octagon area where there are lots of restaurants and bars.

I could not in good conscience recommend anyone stay at this place. Maybe if it was called a boarding house instead of B&B that would be more apt for what it is. Location is good if you want to be near the Centre of town, the Octagon. There was a friendly black cat unlike the hosts. Driveway is incredibly steep,...

The website made this joint look great - beautiful gardens and architecture. Well, it ain't necessarily so. While our check in was ok, staff went into hiding for the rest of our stay. Sometimes in plain sight. The rooms were not even in the same building. Dodgy. A general air of laziness pervades the establishment. Weeds everywhere, uneven paths with...

Close to the Octagon, this pair of victorian terraces offer large rooms, some with ensuite, others shared bathrooms. As the house is victorian be prepared for practical furnishings rather than anything fancy. Has the feel of an upmarket student house but the beds are comfortable, the breakfast adequate, the staff friendly and it's in the center of town. Recommended for...

Really great place to stay in Dunedin. Is very close to the octagon and everything you need is within walking distance. It's a little tricky to find (I found Dunedin roads very confusing!) but you can just park and walk from there. Room was very clean and spacious. Bathroom was a little small though (we had an ensuite). Breakfast was...
