Hazel House is easy to find near the highway, but it is in a quiet quarter a ten minutes ride away from downtown Dunedin. Brent and Sandy are very good and friendly hosts, and we had some nice chats. The room is quite spacious with a King bed, the bathroom is large with a bathtub, not ensuite, but exclusive for...

Thank you for your positive review. Pleased you enjoyed your room and the breakfasts. You booked the King Room with private bathroom, but we also have the Pohutukawa Room with the ensuite. I do like the option of the separate bath though. We enjoy travelling and appreciate biscuits, tea and coffee available, and are pleased to offer a local beer...

Stayed one night with my family and was greeted with a welcoming of abundance, and a home from home comfort. Great host with comfy beds and a wonderful English breakfast Would recommend, and only wished we could have stayed longer

Thank you for your kind words. That really makes Sandy and me smile, as we try to be welcoming, and to make staying here feel like home away from home. It's the biggest compliment that you could have written. Sandy does make yummy breakfasts, much better than my toast and tea. Hopefully we can see you again in the future....

Sandy and Brent welcomed us in a pleasant and friendly manner and that vibe continued for the rest of our stay. The non-ensuite room was comfortable, a good size and perfect for what we wanted. The breakfast was hearty. Would recommend.

Lovely to have you stay. I really like the Kowhai room with the private bathroom. It gives the option of a bath or shower in that large bathroom. It's still early spring but it's another beautiful morning. Happy travels Sandy & Brent

Proprietor very helpful. A great place to stay. Very relaxed. Make yourself at home attitude. It is a pity that we could only stay 1 night. Great welcome. Rooms were very comfortable. Delicious breakfast.

Fantastic. So pleased you enjoyed your stay. On holidays it is so hard to see everything, and stays always seems too short. We would have loved you to stay longer too. We aim to make your stay everything you would want. No extra charges, and feeling at home. I hope you enjoyed the rest of your holiday in New Zealand...

We arrived in Dunedin on a cold June day to see the AB's play Wales. The Villa is very warm and inviting and because there are only 2 rooms for guests it is very quiet. Brent and Sandy are very welcoming right down to putting a couple of beers and wine in the fridge so we could have a drink...

Thank you for your positive feedback. It was great having you stay. Great test match too, and of course always good to have an All Black win. Sandy & I enjoyed having you stay and enjoy looking at how we can make guests visits as comfortable as possible with that "being at home feeling". Yes, the beds are the best....

The room was pretty, spacious and clean. There was no view from the actual bedroom but the views from the guest lounge where breakfast was also served was lovely. sandy was attentive with plenty of local knowledge. It is best to not the bathroom was not ensuite, but was close to the room and was large and clean.

Lovely to have you stay. Yes, the King room booked was our room that has the private bathroom. Our Queen room has the ensuite and view. The choice is there, but only the two rooms as we do not like shared facilities at all. Some like the private bathroom with the separate bath and shower. Sandy and I enjoyed a...

Sandy & Brent Ward did a great job in making us feel welcome. Excellent breakfast, very helpful in bringing luggage from car to room and back, and good advice on local facilities and tourist information. WiFi coverage can be improved (and Brent was aware of that), and we had minimal options to recharge our phones in the room (just one...

It was lovely having you stay. It's always hard planning holidays to have enough time to see everything. You always need more time. Dunedin needs at least 2 nights but then it has to fit in with the whole trip. Pleased you enjoyed your short stay. Maybe we will see you again one day. Thank you for your review Warm...
