We enjoyed our stay at Shotover. The place is a great escape from hustle and bustle of the town centre as it is about 15 mins away. It was surprisingly convenient although we didn't hire a car during our visit. Bus stop going to the city and Arrowtown is just outside the lodge. You just need to plan ahead your...

Very standard motel room. If you want something that screams I'm in Queenstown then this is not it, but if you want a comfortable place to crash after a long day and or night then this is a good cheap(er) option. Across the road from the Onsen hot pools which were fantastic, the shot over jets, and a $25 set...

We booked it for 12 of us thinking it sounded interesting with trails and scenic landscape. Its on a big highway. Most of our rooms were ok, but our room reeked of smoke (room 203). When we asked the front desk, they said they were full, and sent someone up stairs with a spray. When I asked the man if...

Satisfying enough place, except no fans or air conditioning so the room got really hot and no gauze on the windows to keep out flies and mosquitos. Also the layout is like a scene from The Shining, very hard to navigate the many corridors and the top floor gets ridiculously hot, get some ventilation or something! Finally the balconies are...

Rooms were nice and spacious; nothing special though. We had an outdoor patio with chairs as well as a couch inside so plenty of space for relaxing. It's fairly close to Queenstown and was relatively cheap compared to every where else it seemed. Offered a laundry and communal kitchen. There was also plenty of parking

Located between Queenstown and Arrowtown, Shotover Lodge is a decent enough play to sleep whilst in the Queenstown region. You definitely require your own transport to get there and the road is quite dark and tricky at night if you've been out for dinner before heading back. The staff had a very "no frills" approach, but we realised that $100...

the queen size bed was joint by two single beds, that was very uncomfortable. there is no any single signal when you in the room,No service at all time. No rubbish bin in the toilet was very inconvenient. Don't like this motel.

The rooms were strange. They were large yet cramped due to the layout of a small couch and television. The room was devoid of things found in most hotels, like a blow dryer, kleenex box, do not disturb sign. There was a short kitchen counter in the room but there was a common kitchen upstairs near the lounge. There was...

We booked for 3 nights. The room was spacious but dirty. The bathroom smell of mould no matter how much I vent the place. The sofa bed was very dirty. The pillows were crummy and not fit for a motel standard. It appears to be a student hostel. The bed was not comfortable. Beddings apoeared very old and aged. Seems...
