The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, especially when it came to re establishing the power in our room which unfortunately happened twice (stayed two nights in different rooms) (however they were really quick to resolve this matter). Room was tidy and amenities what we required for our short stay, microwave, small fridge, kettle tea/coffee making facilities, bathroom, heater...

Good bed and location. Big enough room. Referred us to a nearby pub that gave us free drinks with our meal. The meals itself was good! Good heating in the room. The shower was not too good. The water pressure needed to be looked at. It was a good motel overall for an over nighter!

Overall stay was average. The kitchen was rather far off from our room, and the utensils/furniture in it were very old and dirty. Room wise, it is clean and tidy, though a bit backwards when it comes to quality of the furniture. The shower water pressure was very slow and horrible, took us forever to finish bathing. Service was ok,...

Older citizens of former communist states and visitors from North Korea will feel right at home here. Ostalgia city. The communal kitchen smells of decades of rancid burnt oil. There is an industrial chimney in the middle of the hotel. The swimming pool has no water in it. I think Dostoyevsky stayed here when he wrote his most dismal novels.

Room was tiny ! Understood it to be a compact room....but.... could not shut the bathroom door once on the toilet, could not get legs into space by bed to get out and could not fit chair on the balcony. The room was in a complex that resembled a student block complete with pool table and table tennis, the corridors...

We recently stayed for an over night visit. From the outside it looks very tired and run down, but surprising the rooms were refurbished, although the water pressure in the rooms is terrible and the showers offer nothing more than a dribble which you need to run around under to get wet!! The central heating is only just adequate too....

Stayed in a motel room on two separate nights either side of walking the Milford Track. Rooms were small but ok with recently renovated bathrooms. We were able to get a 11am checkout on the return trip. Doors seem to band noisily from early in the morning, Value is good but overall the place looks pretty tired. Some rooms have...

We spent two nights at the Fiordland Hotel and it fitted our needs perfectly. As others have stated, some of the areas are in need of updating and there is a general feel of tiredness about the place. But for the price it really is a bargain if all you want is a clean bed and room for a night...

The Hotel is a little on the outskirts of the town. Its a huge property but seems to have fallen out of favour. Mr. Donovan who was the on duty Manager was friendly enough and the check in was smooth. We were taking a break on our way to Milford Sound. So after a long drive we were glad to...

First of all, I agree I have not been to every hotel so am probably not qualified to say this is definitively the worst hotel. However, I would say it is up there for the prize. How bad is it? Well, put it this way - if they had given me the room for free I would still have asked...
