Stayed here for a couple nights, beautiful location, nice and quiet town, close to Milford sound. 4 bed dorm was comfortable and spacious with a decent bathroom. Wifi was a bit patchy and kitchen area a bit cramped but cannot complain. This hostel is in a great location and was a really comfy stay.

Stayed one night in room 15B. Easy and quick check in - room very clean - small but good for our needs. Nice kitchenette with dining table and chairs. Bathroom very clean - great hot water too! Located right across from the Lake!

A handy place to stay with very helpful staff, Good room and all necessary features. Close to town centre and across the road from the lake. We stayed there on the way back from Milford Sound and track walk. A good restful place.

We were a group of six, two couples over 60 and a couple in their 30's. We booked double rooms, and two couples were in rooms that shared a bathroom and common area (with a fridge, stovetop, sink, table/chairs and sofa) with a bunk bed room. The other couple had a double room that shared common space with another room....

Stayed 2 nights in a twin room (room 9B) with shared ensuite and kitchen facilities (shared with 1 other double room only). The room also had a little balcony area to sit outside in the sunshine. Both the room and bathroom were nice and clean. Wifi was good, even in the room. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely...

The location of this is really great, situated along the lake of Te Anau. Our double private room is tucked away in a corner at a hostel and getting to the kitchen and toilet requires a bit of walk outdoor which is a bother especially when it gets cold at night. Heater wasn't working well so we were cold at...

I stayed at the Lakefront backpackers without prior booking and the staff where very accommodating in finding space for me. The Hostel itself is ideally location with access to local shops and even to the Kepler Walking Circuit. The atmosphere was great and all members of staff have done a great job ensuring that I was comfortable and accommodated for....

Our 2 nights stay at the hostel was amazing. The staff is super welcoming and nice and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well organised and big, which makes is easy for several backpackers to cook at the same time. I really enjoyed my stay and I recommend the hostel to everyone who looks for a relaxing...

Standard backpackers. Rooms clean but the ensuite bathroom is a joke. Staff helpful and friendly. View over the lake is nice. Found it rather average regarding opportunities for socializing due to the way it is built. One night here was enough.

Good: location in front of the lake, very central, accommodation choices in Te Anau were limited around New Year so it was good to have this option Room for improvement: Possibly one of the most uncomfortable beds we have ever slept on. The place seemed old and cheep. Average customer service. Very expensive considering the quality we got for the...
