This lodge was completely in the middle of nowhere, a surprising 25 minutes away from town and did not have any cell phone service. The staff was aggressive toward us, enquiring about personal conversations multiple times and trying to charge us extra money. We enjoyed the provided towels and personal bathrooms that were attached to the rooms.

We need a place to stay before our day trip to the Doubtful Sound and could also easy to go to Milford Sound. This accommodation seem to be a right place when I searched from the internet. It is located on the highway to Milford Sound, in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by the forest. We booked 2 rooms, one...

Stayed here for our first night of our trip, owner was friendly and helpful. Rooms seem a little overpriced for what you get. Lodge could do with a overhaul and brought back into the modern times, however it was clean and handy to Milford sound

Stayed here for a couple of nights whilst visiting Milford Sound. A great location between Milford and Te Anau for a LOT less money than elsewhere. Stayed in "motel" part of the lodge, as a group of 4. On arrival there was literally nobody around, went to the main building and found a note and a key saying he had...

I recently stayed at Fiordland Lodge, and was very impressed. While the Lodge is a bit dated, the rooms are very tidy, with excellent facilities and are great value for money. The backpacker area that I saw was excellent. Had a large kitchen with amazing lake views, lounge/TV area. There is no restaurant on site but plenty of cooking facilities,...

Olde villa converted in to a hotel looks a bit old and tired at first impression. However the staff was super amazing. Wayne remembered my name, the activity I was doing on the following day and that I was leaving really early. So he left me a best wishes note with the weather forecast and advice to dress warm. Also...

Great place to stay for Doubtful & Milford Sounds and/or walking, especially the Milford Track. Management couldn't have been more helpful. Beautiful and quiet location on Milford Highway. Motel unit had great views of Lake Te Anau.

Great service, great views, and nice and clean/comfortable rooms. I had a hotel room that had an ensuite. Wayne was very helpful and made sure I had everything I needed, which also included a walk around the lake. Thanks for the great stay Wayne.

We had a lovely stay in the backpackers part of the lodge, everything was clean and cosy. Very quiet and a convenient place to stay whilst visiting Milford sound. Wayne was super helpful and welcoming. Would definitely come back. Wifi was expensive but to be expected in that area. The kitchen was clean and had everything you need. The common...

Spent 2 nights in Te Anau, unfortunately could not get 2 nights in the first motel, so Fiordland National Park Lodge was our only option, as the motel was sold out so we had booked backpacker rooms. Rooms were basic with ensuite bathrooms, with a communal kitchen, living and eating area. Great views from the kitchen of the lake. Here's...
