Everything is clean and tidy. The bed is the most comfortable bed I have slept in! Room is quite small but for the short amount we were in it wasnt a problem. Close to CBD and transport. Staff friendly and helpful.

We stayed as a family for 4 nights. The hotel is comfortable (great beds), air conditioning does work (even though the sign in the room implies that it doesn't). Great service by all staff, great breakfast and clean rooms. The location of the hotel is ok as long as you have a car to get around with. The streets surrounding the hotel...

The hotel is well situated within Newcastle, the rooms are basic and clean. The showers are a one piece plastic construction but to be honest this did not bother me as it was very clean and the water pressure was good. As I am typing this the carpets in the rooms are being pulled up and replaced so it should...

Location/General: Located on Hunter St, one of the major streets of Newcastle's CBD, the hotel is situated in a good spot. Right next door is KFC and Pizza Hut if you're not keen on walking far. Otherwise, it took us a casual 20 minutes walk to hit the centre of town where major shops are located and next to the...

I know the building is old, but that is no excuse for not cleaning the rooms properly! There is dust everywhere and behind everything. Even in more or less accessible places you can see a 5cm layer of dust. For example when you move the small bedside table. Using a vacuum cleaner there could help. When I arrived the window...

Was in New Castle for recent Special Olympics and stayed at Ibis. The hotel was good with some grumpy staff. The rooms were serious disappointing. It was too narrow and the en suit was equally stuffed up. The carpets on the floor looked dirty. Breakfast was the only good thing.
