A wonderful place for a private function. The hotel has been refurbished and the Aqua Room is a lovely size for a group- dance floor, balcony overlooking the beach, beachy modern decor. We had our daughter's engagement party there. The staff were superb - extremely accommodating and friendly. The finger food that was included in the package was plentiful, great...

Great band, great atmosphere, I try to follow them at all venues. The music is across the genres. Definitely and enjoyable evening. Usually on once a month at the Beaches. Location is great, food is great and priced well.

The beach hotel has under gone some renovations which has given it a more up market feel. We visited on a Tuesday night as I was in Newcastle for business. It was fairly busy and the view from our balcony table of the beach was excellent. I had the T-bone steak which was cooked to my liking and very tender....

Very disappointed to have booked a corporate function with this venue to have them cancel on us after we had already sent invitations to our clients and advertised the event. We will not be using them again.

Have been frequenting the iconic Beaches Hotel Bistro, @ Merewether for many years. Over the years the experience has varied - I suspect that with the advent of the nearby Surf House the Beaches has concentrated upon their food quality and service. Sunday lunch for two. Inclement weather, however decided to brave the element and sit outside with a fantastic...

Mothers Day evening, after a big day, we decided to walk up to the Beach Hotel for a quiet dinner. I had promised my wife oysters, and the first thing that faced us was a sign stating "No oysters because of Floods". That would be understandable, however we had probably the best oysters we've ever had at the Junction Hotel...

We had dinner at the Beaches Cafe at this hotel and it was a lovely evening. The Cafe has seating for over 300 and they didn't take bookings over the phone but it's hardly needed as there was ample tables available. The menu was excellent with a fine spread of pub food and restaurant meals that enables a wide choice....

After a slow Sunday we decided to go to the Beaches Hotel at Merewether. When we arrived the place was quite busy both at the bar and the restaurant. We decided to have the bread and dips, i had the Bangkok beer salad whilst my girlfriend had the Calamari and chips (this is the only place she eats Calamari from)....
