Stayed at Cypress Lakes Resort for 2 nights (thank goodness it wasn't more). Most staff were unfriendly and were annoyed if you asked a question. The rooms were old and tired and smelled musty and mouldy. I couldn't open the upstairs bedroom window, so no fresh air there. No washing machine as well. The bar was terrible, took forever for...

There must be a change in management. As they are drastically under staffed, and most of the staff have an obvious 'don't want to be here' vibe. The absolute high-light has been hunting down someone to clean up the dirty diaper a guest left at an outside table in the bar area! Seriously! What type if guests are staying here!...

The entire family attended for Christmas and stayed for a few days. The buffet breakfast was very nice and the chef made me a gluten free omelette with ham and cheese which was the best omelette I've ever had. (I forget the chef's name but Ben, the resort manager will know as he said this chef also makes his omelettes)...

It would appear $529 dollars per night (we paid $3124 for 6 nights) does not get you much at Cypress Lakes other than a shabby run down apartment & a very average breakfast. I will order my review chronologically as things sort of happened in sequence. Let me also state at the outset that I don't consider myself to be...

I'm surprised by Cypress Lakes. For the cost and the reputation I expected more than a run down apartment with no coffee machine and a tiny shower. But the biggest issue was the design. Timber floors are great but when you rent out the top floor of a villa to a family, unless you've sound proofed your floor the people...

Hello Michelle W, Thanks for taking the time to review Cypress Lakes. I am sorry that the shower was not to your liking, and we agree that the design of the villas is getting a little old. A great location to unwind for Xmas with the family. The satff was very welcoming, great smiles all over and the whole day. BUT, even with a reservation for Xmas dinner AND paid for, they could not find our reservation. The food was average but worse (although we were early) they ran out of everything and did not make ANY effort...

I had heard so much about the resort; facilities were very nice, pool, golf, etc; but the rooms lacked and ultimately made for a disappointing stay. Towel hooks hanging out of the wall to broken glass in the bathroom, certainly not what I would have expected from a place in this price range. We stayed here for a little romantic...

I have visited Cypress Lakes many times and it never disappoints. The rooms are clean and well appointed, a little dated but perfect. The balcony's open onto a perfect outlook and if you're lucky enough you will be joined by "roo's" at dusk. The pool and spa overlooking the gold course are stunning and the service is great!

Spent a week-end at this resort. The location was great as it was close to many popular wineries and also close to Hope Estate where we saw Cold Chisel.
