Took my husband out for a breakfast treat. Food was good and a reasonable selection but don't go for a coffee or tea! At least 30 diners and only 10 coffee cups. The machine ran out of milk at least twice (I don't know how, no one could get a cup) and when cups were replaced they brought only 6.... More

We chose this hotel based on its location near the Hunter Valley Gardens, shops and restaurants and it was certainly in a great spot. The rooms and the hotel in general were a little tired and could do with some updates but were clean and welcoming. There were no pool towels left in the pool area and not enough lounge... More

This is my second stay at Mercure HVG. The rooms, and especially the gardens, are well maintained. Breakfast in Reisling Room was included in the booking package (but no tomato juice!). A great central location for touring the Hunter, and so easy to walk to the Christmas lights in Hunter Valley Gardens

A lovely relaxing family weekend here. I wouldn't call it 4.5 stars as it says on the website. Its more like motel style accomodation and I would be disappointed if I'd paid full rate of $300+ but I got a special some months ago. All that said, I would highly recommend it for young families. Great location. We haven't used... More

This venue for breakfast is pretty similar to many hotel stay providers. A broad range of buffet style food was available complete with a range of juices. Sadly no tomato juice. The coffee machine does produce a nice fresh brew, but when dining room is full can lead to significant queue,

I have always enjoyed staying at the Mecure Resort HVG but I was disappointed this time by the general service and appalled by the cleanliness of the room (& bathroom). I spoke with the staff member at the desk when checking out so I will not labour the details. I was fortunate to have an upgraded room and love the... More

Stayed her on our way home from Sydney. We were very happy with our choice, great central location, good size rooms & pleasant staff. It was a Monday night so not a lot of local restaurants open, we dined at the hotel & were very happy.

The food, bed, room and location were awesome for my 3 night stay. Very quiet and a very comfortable bed made it even more relaxing, especially after a day on the vineyards. Only critisim would be the lounge was old, and hard, not comfy, lucky I wasn't sitting on it for long...
