Beautiful location. Excellent restaurant. Rooms are a good size and very clean. The balcony has lovely view over vineyards and bushland. Quiet and comfortable night sleep. Continental breakfast included in your room to eat on balcony and plunger coffee provided. An overall wonderful stay.

Hermitage Lodge is in a fantastic location in the Hunter Valley and has an amazing on-site restaurant that I highly recommend. Honestly though, I would not stay here again despite the room being comfortable. The reason? The letter we received upon check-in that outlined the "rules" of the hotel. While I know these are standard to sometimes find in your...

Dear Jacquie, Thank you so much for your review and for attaching the letter, I actually thought that maybe you got some other correspondence. The letter has evolved over the years as a result of various situations we have encountered. Unfortunately people do not read information in the compendiums. Originally we handed the guests the welcome letter, however they didn’t...

FABULOUS central location in the hunter. We stayed in the two storey suit with spa on the upstairs outdoor deck and fireplace in lounge room. Very well appointented accomodation with full kitchen and large fridge. Complimentary breakfast provisions are yummy and great quality. Acommodation very cosy, but modern and well-kept. Only negative was the bed - was a bit hard...

My husband and I stayed here for a couple of nights for our 5th anniversary, and had a lovely time. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly, and we even got upgraded to a suite on arrival! It was perfect, with a cozy fireplace and a lovely little balcony overlooking the vineyard. The restaurant, Il Cacciatore, was fantastic as...

Amazing amazing amazing. We stayed in a premier villa which had a beautiful gas fire and a spa in the open air on the upper deck. From the time we checked in until we checked out it was amazing. We have stayed previously and it felt so good to be back again . Noreen and Mark are amazing hosts. They...

This place pretty much ticked all the boxes for us. The location is great, close proximity to a number of excellent wineries (some just in walking distance), great restaurant onsite, clean, large an comfortable rooms (we were in one of the Bimbadgen suites) and best of all............peace and quiet. Whilst we did hear the people in the suite next to...

I recently stayed 2 nights at the Hermitage Lodge and discovered excellent accommodation in the Hunter Valley. I would recommend it to any travelers seeking a clean, quiet, modern and comfortable place to stay. We had our continental breakfast (included) on our balcony each morning. Very pleasant indeed.

We stayed in a one bedroom suite with a spa on the top balcony, the suite itself was very comfortable and mostly clean, we had to ask for a tea towel and chux as what was there looked like it was used for the last 3 months, continental breakfast was provided and the gas fire place was a nice touch...

We stayed in one of the one bedroom units backing on to the vineyard. We found the facilities to be very clean and comfortable. The bathroom and spa bath were a bit older in style - would need a reno to earn 5 stars. Continental breakfast provided in our room - cereal, eggs, ham, cheese, toast, yoghurt and fruit from...
