Spent a night on the fly here was a great position overlooking water. Reception staff helpful and room was very comfortable. Room was clean and well presented. Bed comfortable. We didn't use the dining facilities but looked OK and seemed well presented. Car park at front door which is a bonus. Walk to town centre, along waterfront, many restaurants and...

Nicely appointed but now a little dated and at the stage of needing some TLC and abit of updating to bring this girl into the 21st century Rooms a good size views great, service really good, However food leaves a lot to be desired . Breakfast was good value and tasty. Internet although included does not work all areas despite...

We recently booked a table for 20 in the restaurant. The service was atrocious and the food was dreadful. Of the 20 guests 3 thought their meal ok. The staff were very rude and seemed to want to be doing anything else but working there. It was very disappointing.

Again, if you scale back your expectations, Water's Edge is...fine. Even after you do that though, you'll find it a pretty downmarket experience all round. The best way I could describe the rooms is "dingy" - think curled-up missing carpet, warped doors, cheap furniture, etc. On the plus side, the view from the balcony onto the water is indeed lovely....

Stayed for one night for business in one of their rooms looking out over the water. Absolutely stunning view! The room itself was clean however all looking a little overdue for a makeover. Had a meal in the restaurant, food was good. Located well just a bit tired looking. Free wifi was woeful.

We enjoyed our stay at Waters Edge, and believe it offered the best value in town for its location and hotel type. Although it was an older-style hotel, it was very clean and well-maintained. The girl at the counter was helpful and friendly, and there was a lot of information available for tourists. It was a short walk into town...

Our room was clean, well appointed, comfortable and quiet, but furniture, paintwork etc are showing signs of age. The hotel is well located on the river close to the wharf where whale watching and pleasure cruise boats leave from. It is a five minute walk from a major bowling club and is close to restaurants and shops. It has a...

We booked for 5 night to have a short break and as we had a lovely time here last time we decided to book again. Although we asked for a water view room the one that we got had a view of the pool and sadly only a small view of the river, which isn't what we hoped for. The...

I just stayed for one night on a business trip. The place is past it's used by date. Not the cleanest either. The carpet feels gritty to walk on, stains on towels and random hairs in the bathroom upon arrival. My package included breakfast, but decided to go to one of the awesome new cafes, rather than hang out in...
