This is NOT your standard accommodation that will blend in your memory with so many other places you've stayed. Great location a short stroll from the city centre. A very warm welcome from host Graham, who gave us a tour of this stunning federation-style house. We stayed in the Large Queen Suite with a gorgeously comfortable bed and equally comfortable...

We loved staying at this boutique hotel. It's a step back in time in a gorgeous old home that's been lovingly restored. The gardens are beautiful and we loved sitting outside for breakfast. It's quiet, comfortable, and clean and Graham is a wonderful host. We stayed in the heat of the summer and there wasn't air conditioning, but it wasn't...

Whole place smelt musty and dusty - utterly pretentious. Tiny room and the smallest bathroom I have ever seen. Uncomfortable bed, nowhere to unpack of stack your luggage. TV in the cupboard and I had forgotten they ever came that small. Had to go outside to make a drink. I could go on listing the negatives but breakfast was really...

Dear Yogagran Thanks for taking the time to write a review on your recent stay at Vacy Hall when you travelled through Toowoomba on the “Westlander” train over 3 months ago. Unfortunately, from your comments, it would appear that the only thing you seemed to enjoy was the complimentary breakfast I offered you. I have considered your criticism for several...

As I was introduced to the house and my room, I was informed I had booked the cheapest room and that my bathroom was across the hall. From the moment I walked through the front door to my room and into my bathroom I fell in love with this gorgeous old house. There is something so comforting within it's walls....

Like a step back in time to such a beautiful era. Vacy has that old world charm and cosy atmosphere with beautifully decorated rooms, fireplaces in the bedrooms and such a warm and relaxing atmosphere. A short walk to the centre of town and across the street from an amazing restaurant with delicious food. The staff are lovely and made...

We stayed two nights in this most beautiful hotel. We were shown around the hotel on our arrival and of course we had so many questions of the history of the grand home and we enjoyed being told all about its past. The furnishings are gorgeous, well maintained and clean. The staff are friendly and welcoming. One of the things...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Vacy Hall is like a time capsule that offers guests the opportunity to step back in time to a space where things were slower and less complicated, people had more time for each other and the world was more gracious. Built as a wedding present for the daughter of a wealthy squatter and pastoralist in the 19th century, Vacy Hall now provides travellers with a romantic experience reminiscent of the glory days of the 'squattocracy' with the convenience of a CBD boutique hotel. ... more   less
