Had a 1 night stay at Hi George and it was a very nice experience. Clean rooms, comfortable bed, great location very close to the centre of town and a lovely cooked breakfast at a shared table was a unique experience. I would recommend this to anyone looking to spend a night or 2 in town.

This B&B offered a quiet room in an old, converted two-storey home in central Launceston. It's owner, George, was very friendly and accommodating to our wishes for a ground floor room. The brass bed was comfortable and the facilities adequate in the ensuite bathroom. The breakfast was freshly cooked for guests who sat around a communal table. George provided a...

We stopped for 1 night in Lonnie on our way to the east coast. Hi george was comfortable and welcoming. The whole experience was awesome. Breakfast is cooked by your host and eaten while you get to know the other house guests it's a short walk to the club/pub/food precinct. Dave and Fiona are very attentive and friendly to their...

My partner and I spent one night here. It is a sweet little old building that is very handily located for walking into the city. The room was clean and tidy and homely, not excessively 'hotel-y' which I see as a bonus. The room was quiet enough that we both slept well (even if the bed was a just wee...

We made Hi George our base for 5 days and not disappointed. Fiona and George are such great hosts, very obliging and a yummy cooked breakfast making us feeling right at home. The position of Hi George is excellent, walking distance to an array of Restaurants, Museum's, Cataract Gorge and Gardens. Thank you so much for a memorable stay. Linda...

Just spent two delightful nights at Hi George. The hosts were warm and friendly, great knowledge of the region and ensured guests were well looked after. We had a front room facing the street. The room was very spacious, spotlessly clean and we had a great two nights sleep. Breakfast is a lovely social occasion, sitting around a large table...

We arrived exceedingly late due to the late arrival of ferry. We found the place without trouble and the owner waited up for us which was very nice. Comfortable room, very clean, no complaints, lovely breakfast. Breakfast is b/t 8-9am, loads of private car parking behind premises, very convenient. Because it on a hill, you need to climb a few...

The B&B is located close to town and within walking distance (sometimes hilly) of town. The building is an old double storey house with the owners living onsite at the rear of the property. Some of the guest rooms are located upstairs and our room and the hotel were very clean and comfortable. The room was big with good hot...

With three people there was not a lot of free space left in the room. It's close to city center so everything is withing walking distance. Private parking is provided at the back of the house so there are no worries about finding a spot. Breakfast is plentiful and a good time to meet the other guests.

At Hi George for two nights, one night before and one night after doing the Overland Walk with Cradle Mountain Huts. Very comfortable accommodation, clean and well looked after, and a good breakfast in the morning - what more could one ask?! George and his wife are very friendly and helpful, easily handling our need for an early (5:45am) breakfast...
