The Clarion is an historic hotel - meaning no lift, if that matters to you - with easy onsite parking, large and comfortable rooms, free wifi and a top-class restaurant (Larceny - also 5 stars!). Additionally, we found a nice outdoor area on the first floor where we could sit at a table and have a few drinks: very civilised....

The location is not great but nothing is far from anything in Launceston. Stayed in the stables, and was disappointed by the ghastly floaties that came out of the spa jets. To their credit, the staff responded promptly and a discount was provided. The restaurant was ok but on the whole the place felt tired and in need of attention.

The location may not seem to be in the best area being next to James Borg brewery and opposite a couple of bike shops. But looks can be deceiving. This is a great classic building close to all the main attractions. It is just a block from the river and city park and in walking distance to some great restaurant...

I stayed at the City Park Grand Hotel in Launceston for 2 nights I also had dinner at their restaurant last night which was very good. The room is comfortable with furnishing suited to the building and fabulous people working there. The bed was comfortable and it had everything you would expect from a 4 star hotel including an expresso...

We loved staying in one of the stable rooms...they are large and very comfortable. The bathroom was huge. We were on the ground floor and it was very quiet. The location is walkable to the downtown area...approximately 4-5 blocks. It is also near the Auto Museum and the Design Center.

The room in the Stagles built in 1855 and renovated was amazing they accommodated my disabled Mum and the ambiance and luxury was wonderful. I have no problem but to recommend this accommodation as they did more plus extra to take care of my mother and myself. The venue is close to the wharf but my mother could not walk...

Our room was very small (34) and had a large couch right next to the bed which made it very hard to get around. My advise to the hotel would be to move the couch out of that room. The decor is dated but matches the period of the hotel. Very basic bathroom, we did have water occasionally dripping from...

First impression was good. In a good location and easy to find. We are in room 34 which is classed as deluxe. Nice room if a little crowded with furniture. Bathroom adequate but nowhere but put anything. Same with suitcases in main room. Bed is a king size but everytime you move the other person knows about it. It is...

This hotel is quite centrally located in Launceston so you can walk to most places. Our room was in "The Stables", built in 1855 and was large, airy and very well furnished. The hotel blends well its historic buildings with contemporary fit out. The Bed was a King and had an excellent mattress, the air-conditioning was ducted and worked well...
