The proprietors (husband and wife) are a delightful couple, who make every effort to satisfy all needs. The motel is well appointed, quiet and close to very good restaurants.
The rooms are spacious and all usual motel facilities (tea, coffee etc.) are available. The motel...More
We stayed for 2 nights with our 6 and 4yo in a family room. The room and ensuite are generously sized and beds comfortable.
Milk and bread on arrival was a welcome addition. The room is very clean and serviced daily. They are freshly painted...More
The Eureka Hotel is close to Sovereign Hill and Ballarat Wildlife Park. It is good value for money, and the manager is very helpful and friendly. The motel offers bread and milk, and has cutlery in the rooms so guests can prepare their own breakfast/lunch...More
Clean, old fashioned and quiet. A few restaurants nearby within walking distance but everything else is somewhat within 5 min of driving. It is nice, biker friendly and more than sufficient. The entrance could be more visible as we drove past trying to find it.

Thank you for leaving the comments. We have a new sign now and will replace the old main sign as well.
This was the most run down motel we stayed at on our 10 day road trip through Victoria. On the plus side, the staff member on the Reception desk on our arrival was very courteous & friendly. It was a bit weird to be handed...More

Yes, the Hotel Management are correct. If you book through a booking search engine, read the conditions and it will advise you that you will be penalised if you cancel or update your checkin times. I have the same problem this week with a Hotel and for me to update my details on checking in/out means I have to pay an extra $48.30 BUT sometimes it is better to go direct to the actual Hotel and do a deal with them. Having phoned the Hotel, they did say the booking was out of their control as I would have to be in touch with the search engine to do the alteration. Unless you read the conditions (like us all we usually don't) we will keep our original dates this time to save all of the fuss and bother. Hey, things change in our lives and like you, that is unfortunate but some charge and some don't. Just shop around for the best deal and conditions. All the best for next time. Regards Helen W-H
